How to make rubber quartz crystals

This fun craft lets you craft as many beautiful crystals as you want...just enough to fill a treasure chest! They look like real quartz crystals and reflect light the same way. Learn how to make resin crystals with EasyMold Resin and EasyCast. Let's start!


SUBMISSION REQUIRED:

Small plastic container suitable for crystals.
1 or more real crystals (can be molded from clay or wood)
Glue gun
mixing rods
mixing bowls
Disposable gloves and work plan.


PICTURE:

Start by creating the shape of the crystals. Find a plastic container that matches the crystals you have. Crystals can also be made from baked clay or carved from wood.


Gently spray the inside of the container with an anti-mold spray. Next, apply some hot glue to one side of the bottle.


Apply hot glue to the bottom of the plastic container and secure the crystals in place.


Now it's time to mix the EasyMold silicone rubber. Read and follow the instructions carefully.


Mix a portion of each bath and mix well. Spray the inside of the container with mildew conditioner and release the spray to help remove the mildew.


After mixing according to directions, pour into a plastic container completely lined with silicone rubber crystals. Leave the container for 24 to 48 hours.


Once the silicone rubber has hardened, remove the mold from the plastic container. This can be a bit tricky...but keep working with the blender and loosen each edge.


TO DRINK:

Cut the top of the silicone mold with small scissors. Then mix the EasyCast resin. A good way to know how much to mix is ​​to fill the mold with water then pour the water into a measuring cup and then mix that amount.


Mix the EasyCast resin in 2-phase mode according to the instructions. Mix one part resin with one part hardener with a shaker for a full 2 ​​minutes. Then pour into a second glass and mix with the second stick for 1 full minute.


Pour the resin into a glass mold. Let the resin dry for 24 hours. Then remove the resin crystals from the silicone mold. Because the mold is silicone and elastic, it is very easy to get out of it. Repeat as many times as you want!


These resin crystals are amazing! No need to worry about bubbles, it adds character and realism to every glass. They reflect sunlight like a prism. Now that you know how to make Resin Crystals, what would you do with them?
