DIY Disney Inspired Halloween Cosplay Costumes!
Maleficent movies are a lot of fun. The outfits are gorgeous and each item is packed with texture, layers and depth. Can you tell me I prefer watching costumes to real movies? This evil cult has the most magical wand. This is an absolute must have for any Halloween costume or fandom cosplayer. How to create the perfect associate of Maleficent with direct combat or the old classic "Sleeping Beauty". Equip Maleficent's wand with a Demon Crow!
I built it 4 years ago and it still works!
The wand glowed brightly in a bluish-green hue, entwined in branchy branches.
Very well! Perfect staff!
Materials needed:
wooden pegs (about $4)hairy crow
poly plastic
Light candle on battery
Round Ball/Vase (Available at grocery stores for $1)
First the lighting mechanism. Begin by disassembling the lit candle.
Save the battery on the switch and the LED is connected.
Make holes on the top and sides of the heel so they meet in the middle. Then fold the lamp with the folded thread like a "needle".
Use hot glue and attach the lamp and battery. Then slide them towards the light at the end of the pot. A little wide but perfect enough! I'm stuck in the heat.
So check if the light is still working.
Then heat 2 cups of water in a glass bowl in the microwave. Then add a few tablespoons of Polly Plastic. It goes from white to transparent... then it's done.
Out of the water and easy to touch and shape! But be careful, it's still hot.
Sculptures made of braided plastic branches and tentacles from vase to vase.
Let cool completely: this time it will turn white again.
Reinforce all areas with hot glue. Then draw! The whole gusset is painted black so it's easier. Then I used a brush and brown/black paint for the branch details.
So far so good! If you can make a stick without a crow, that's it! He will be a great wizard or sorcerer... but to be really evil you need your partner Diaval!
Then hot glue those little swans onto the chopsticks! It's very durable! When the glue dries, paint with a tone. Just great!
Now check the lights again! Fu, good luck!
Perfection! Looks like a movie tool!
The green brightness is subtle! This is absolutely amazing! This is a full look at Maleficent's cosplay. The full setup can be found here.
