DIY Halloween costume for mischievous youngsters!
I loved watching Maleficent as a kid, growing up and loving the country. He has big horns and wings which make him the perfect costume. This beautiful costume was made in 2015.
This Disney costume is perfect for Halloween or a fan meeting. Create the perfect Disney-themed Maleficent Costume for kids at Maleficent Live.
This dark angel didn't always have a dark side, traits like wings, horn and fairy are easy to pull off.
This is a great costume for tweens or teens! My daughter was perfect for this role and opted for this costume idea!
Here is the movie Maleficent:
It consists of feathers, twisted horns, wooden beads, pointed ears and natural clothes.

Start by drawing the basic shape of a 2 inch moss branch. The size of the branches depends on the height of the person holding them.
Start with the paper and bring it to the child's head where you will need to cut it. Once you find the right size, cut it with the hot cut foam.
Just start blocking.
Then start forming round strands from the sides down.
Repeat the cutting process for the second branch only in reverse order.
After sculpting, apply a smooth finish and use your fingers to coat the twigs in a thin layer.
Let it dry completely.
Then paint it black and then brown on top. Do this on an outer piece of cardboard.
Next, cut a 2" x 6" piece of brown felt, fold it about 1/4 inch over the edge, and hot glue.
Next, hot glue the twigs, but leave half of the felt hanging from the branch.
Then cut the felt into squares and heat it on the headband. (Note: do not use plastic rims, they will melt without a rim)
Put a bandage around your head and mark where you want the branches to be. Then remove the bandage and glue the branches.
That's it for the assembly! The biggest and most famous part of Maleficent is over!
Let's make those glorious wings!
For the wings like the wings (adult size) you will need:
2pcs foam stickers8 fun brown foam sheets
400 brown feathers
Polyplastic
flex
hot glue gun
Hot knife / wood stove with x-act nozzle
Draw the basic wing pattern with a pencil. It's so shameful. Then use a hot knife and cut the foam. You just have to be more selective about how you help others.
Then flip the wing over and draw on the other side of the foam, repeating the cutting process.
Place the hot foam inside two brown foam cores... then cut off the excess foam with scissors. I poured off the excess styrofoam and glued it to the hot styrofoam sheet. This is how I make the greatest foam. Then turn around and repeat.
Leave the white tips of about 4 inches, like the branches at the ends of the wing.
The next day, hot glue 100 feathers in each of the four sections. I knew there wouldn't be enough feathers to fill the field, so I put them in groups from time to time.
Cut as many entries as possible...some of them were too long!
Then place the wings in small groups.
Cover the top with fairly thick branches.
Then use a molded plastic poly.
I love this stuff - I use it a lot! Simply heat the water in a glass bowl for a few minutes until it boils. Then fill the pellets. They become light, merge with each other and become adaptable!
Then remove the plastic with a spoon. Plastic can be hot, but not as hot as water...so be careful. Then wrap the plastic around the polystyrene foam to make big, beautiful round ends! Let it dry completely.
Then make holes in the wings and tie them with a black rubber band.
Tie them together like a corset.
Then add elastic loops to either side of the top opening, leaving them loose enough to fit snugly around your arms.
To complete the look, opt for a simple green or natural dress. We have aqua but it still works. We found a large brown scarf in the store and cut a v-neck to attach it to her head. Attached to the belt and adorned with a natural pendant.
Add a wooden bead necklace and bracelet... maybe a fanny pack and that's it! This Maleficent Teen costume is perfect! The shade you receive is also awesome!
The wings are only shown to give an idea of the proportions.
Add bright red lips to complete the look!
