Doll room update
Welcome back! I am still alive! I've been in real business for the last few weeks and haven't had much time to work on anything to do with dolls, but I thought it might take me a while to get here and give you a quick overview. life. In other words, I didn't want the blog to be lazy for so long.
As I said in a previous post, we have furniture to assemble. While I don't think furniture assembly is particularly difficult, it can be time consuming and it's always best to do it with two people. Luckily, Mr. Monster is on vacation this week and next, so we have more time to sort things out. One of our priorities was a dining table because we didn't have one originally. Once this was done, we were allowed to assemble our provided dollhouse/craft furniture.
We got another Billy bookcase from IKEA. We already had 3 in another house and when we moved here we knew we could fix a fourth. Having room for another one was a blessing because my doll's accessories just matched the other three. I mainly use it to store my crafts and doll size furniture so it's available when I want to take a photo. It's not fully assembled yet, but part of it was in a box on the floor, so it's best to keep it on a shelf.
We got a new desk for our computer because the old one was too small and small. This is Bekant 's model, also from IKEA (I swear this post was not sponsored by IKEA ). We chose it because you can adjust the height and fit it to fit, which will complement my neck. Looks very strong and tough. On the other hand, I would like to say that the height adjustment is quite difficult and requires two people because it is very heavy. I wouldn't recommend this table if you need to change height more than once a day, but it's ok if you do it once on a blue moon.
I said that I don't have much time to make dolls, but from time to time I have free time to make more pillows. I usually do this when Mr. Monster is still sleeping, or please suggest that I cook dinner. I made another white one, a little bigger than the first one.
I do yellow too. Almost done, it remains only to fix, and this is the most difficult. I sew on their hands and in the end I noticed that my sewing was not only starting, but this was a good sign. I haven't tried the sewing machine yet, but hopefully soon.
This is not something I wanted to post so I thought at the last minute. I plan to build a doll-sized gazebo in July, but it's the end of the month and I haven't started yet. I found some sizes and structures, but I have to look for it, but I still can't. I hope that in August I will have time to work on it and be able to take some fun summer shots with it.
I also signed up for the Covid vaccine, but unfortunately this appointment is not compatible with my allergy medications. I have been doing monthly injections for allergy immunotherapy for over a year now. The only problem is that there must be an interval of 8-10 days between this treatment and any type of vaccine. I received my last allergy shot on Wednesday and received a text message today (Friday) Monday with an appointment for a coronavirus vaccine. I called the local hospital and asked for a new appointment. The woman I spoke to was not very helpful and said, "Don't go to the appointment, they'll give you a new one." My concern is that there is no guarantee that this won't happen on my next appointment. On Monday I go to the vaccination center and explain my situation, maybe they will help me there. I keep you posted.
(Update Monday: I was vaccinated. Everyone at the vaccination station was very kind and I was able to talk to a doctor who assured me there was no risk because I had been treated for allergies for over a year and it wasn't a bad problem.) Nurse was also very kind and told me to stay in the reception a little more, just in case.)
But without this little inconvenience, everything goes well. We are almost done assembling furniture and I hope to be able to work on some dolls again soon. We are in a fever, so we try to remain calm during work.
I hope you are all safe and sound
