What I got for Christmas

Christmas is over, and many of you, like many of you, have received gifts under my tree. As I said before, I get the most gifts on January 5th, which is one of the reasons why this post is so late. The other is that the beginning of the year was a bit boring, but I try to put my best foot forward. Or some of them are not dolls or doll-related items, these are the things I will use in the future for this blog craft or other project, so I still think it's important for this blog.

Let's start with the things I was most passionate about: literal drawing. If you're a regular reader, you've probably seen me use Americana Acrylic in 90% of my craft projects. Their color scheme is very wide,: you can get many colors that will make your puppet diaoramas and furniture look very realistic. I do not think it is the best brand I have tried in terms of quality, but another brand I have chosen has been discontinued.

Like last year, Mr. Monster found them in an online store called Mia Mandarina , a small business run by a beauty pageant. Include the package with a beautiful postcard with one of its original pictures. I made a list of the colors I wanted, the second list of colors he could get if they were not enough to transfer, or if they were not capable of some colors. Although I knew it was coming, I did not know what color it would be.

I have to choose them online, which can be difficult as the colors often do not seem as individual as online, but I am usually very happy with the choice. I wanted to choose a shade of blue for my home that would be a misty blue և winter blue. However, I did not try to choose the blue-brown colors that I liked the most, but I tried to choose colors that are different from the natural shade. The only two that are similar are Brown, Cocoa և Honey Brown (although they look similar to the camera).

Although I have seen all the colors, I have not yet had the opportunity to use them for a craft project. I'm thinking of doing some "review" of craft paints, making a list of my favorite American colors, so let me know if you're interested. Tell me which of these new colors is your favorite?

I got this little ring light for the doll picture. It is designed for use in video conferencing, so it has a USB port for playback to connect to your laptop. A clip comes in to attach it to your screen. I mentioned some time ago that I want one of those little calls that you can connect to your phone. Mr. Monster saw something good in it and got it, even if it was not telephone equipment. I haven't played with it much yet, but I tried to use it with my phone. Unfortunately, it was too heavy, it had some problems with it.

It comes with a small tripod that I used for these few pictures, it works well. I will keep trying, I will say my last opinion. This can be a great option if you do not want to invest in a large ring.

Now I was very excited about the next thing. sewing machine: I was not expecting a gift, so I looked at him and shouted like an eight-year-old. I have not done any research on sewing machines, so I have no idea which one is better. What I found is the Singer Promise 1408 , which I can see in some online reviews, very handy for beginners. Monster saw some notes that they are quite solid for the price, especially if you are a beginner or a comfortable sewer. In addition, he was able to put it up for sale, which would make it a better deal. Now there is no excuse for not making doll clothes.

Last but not least, I have two new dolls. On the left we have the Stormtrooper Star Wars Barbie, which was sold at a much lower price than the Lear. Technically, it was not a Christmas present, but a graduation party prepared for me by the giant god, but I thought that since I was not here yet, it was a wonderful occasion.

On the right we have doll # 2 from the new (curved) look of Barbie. I plan to review it soon, where I will explain my thoughts on this doll և this line. I really wanted that from the first channel, I'm glad he's here.

As I have already mentioned, the beginning of the year was not so smooth for me. our family members, but also Mr. Monster worked well for you, so we had to quarantine for a few days. There could not have been a worse time because my mother-in-law had recently had surgery կարող she could really use some help that we could not provide for safety reasons. She and her husband treat her very well, but she knows she still needs extra help. I know it's an epidemic, նման eventually it can happen, but I can not help but feel frustrated.

For precautionary purposes, Mr. Monster has sent everyone to work from home, so I will keep it for a few weeks. We set up a table in the doll room so she could work, and then she brought the laptop to the dining room. I can still use the craft table for pop things if it's not a noisy activity (you have to wait for a sewing or some craft project). I'm not complaining, but I think he might have a place to work, and then he might close the door and forget about it.
