Unboxing Phyllis' giveaway goodies (finally)

Hi everybody! How are you? I hope you have a great start to the year!

Last Saturday I took my final university exams and started almost a month ago for the next semester. I wish I had the time to post a few more on the blog, but I'm sure I won't have the time to post as much as I'd like. I also don't want to post a lot of content in a month and then leave the blog dormant for 5 months, so maybe I'll leave some posts scheduled to keep the blog fresh while I'm in college. I have a few ideas in mind. A few reviews, a few tutorials, but we'll see what I have time.

Today's article is not a review or guide. I don't know if you remember, but I put a second to Phyllis in last year's picture. I didn't have time to unpack the post you sent me because I'm a mess, so I thought I'd do it in a blog post. Thanks again Phyllis for all the gifts you sent me. It is very nice of you to give a gift.

The first two items in this giveaway are Ken Fashionista and Barbie I Can Be… Scientific. I haven't bought a Ken doll as an adult so I'm glad I got this.

Let's start by opening Ken's box. He wore a white and blue plaid shirt, brown shorts and boots.

He has blonde hair and blue eyes, Ken's classic look.

The sailor shoes are quite cute and have great detailing.

Let's switch to Science Barbie wearing a lab coat, glasses and cute dress.

Without glasses, she has the classic Barbie look: Millie's head shape, blue eyes, and blonde hair. By the way, the glasses are affixed to that awful plastic that I wish Mattel would stop wearing on doll heads.

The clothes are cute but everything is intact. Awwwwww…. I really like this dress! Well, I guess you have to go to work in the same clothes every day...

This microscope is quite cute and has some details in shape. I'm also glad it wasn't pink and they chose a realistic color like black.

He also sent me a fashion package which I really liked. I won't be opening them today as I plan to make an abundance of fashion items soon.

The last piece he sent me was this hammock. It wasn't included in the second prize, but the person who won the first prize didn't want it, so he sent it to me. Whoever this person is, thank you, I love him so much.

The hammock requires light assembly and when it's all done this is what it looks like. I love that Mattel is going back to using realistic colors instead of making everything pink.

It comes with this table with ice underneath to keep drinks cold (is there a special name?), a jug and a glass of lemonade.

It also comes with this cute sleeping white kitten. Isn't he adorable?

And that's it.  Thanks again Phyllis for all the gifts. I had never won anything in my life before, so I was very happy when I won it.

Thanks also for all your comments, opinions and suggestions on my last two posts. I've been thinking about my next post and should start this week. Note: This will relate to doll photography. I hope you like it!

Blogging for you soon.
