Shabby Chic Rustic Metal Pumpkins DIY
Shabby Chic Rustic Metal Pumpkins DIY
Prepare your own rustic pumpkin for the perfect fall decor. I saw something similar in the Hobby lobby and knew I could recreate it with some of the stuff I had. They add an elegant old-fashioned fun element to our front porch for the fall break. I love how they are cut!
It is very easy to prepare within an hour or two. The bigger they are, the easier it is to adapt ... so start big, then start small. You do not like it !?

Metal Band ( here or here or here )
Use a drill to make a hole in the center of the branches.
Loosely wrap the metal in a circle around the rod ... leaving it slightly convex at the ends. Slowly go through the metal and screw a little over the strap. Leave blank for the mold part.
Use a washer to prevent the screw from sliding through the metal hole.
The next step was a bit difficult and I did not have a photo of the process, sorry! Bend the low metal strip around a ring to form the center of the bar.
The metal is soft and turns easily when needed. There was an extra piece of metal ribbon that I tied to make a leaf. Then screw tight with the washing liquid.
Then use a hot glue gun and short gloves ... and the E6000.
Put some E6000 glue in the center of the handle.
Then fill the outer edges with hot glue. The hot glue helps to set immediately and the E6000 gives it lasting strength.
Tie it directly to the screw and metal band.
Repeat for all the pumpkins you want! These are beautiful and elegant - and you are more stylish than yourself!
They are perfect from September to November!
