Doll Review: McKeyla McAlister with lava lamp experiment (Project MC2)
Since Project MC2 came out, I wanted to get one. However, it does not appear that they will arrive in Spanish stores anytime soon and is too expensive on Amazon.com to pay € 18 for shipping. When I finally saw the dolls in the store (a year after the release), I had to get at least one.
The story of the Project Mc2 doll follows McKeyla McAlister, a secret agent and a group of young spies who follow her clear friends who join her. This rule tries to show young girls how attractive the STEAM field is (they added "art"). Some dolls, like the ones I picked up, come up with experiments for girls to learn basic knowledge. And now we begin the review.
The Project Mc2 box is white and looks like a page in a notebook or school folder. Clean plastic windows are smaller squares that fit in a larger white box. In the lower left corner we see a picture of the actress Mika Abdala who played McKeyla in a TV show.
Back in the box we can read about McKeyl getting to know him better and learning how to operate a lava lamp.
There's a picture of this doll in the lower left corner, but I noticed something strange. Doesn't Adrienne Atoms look fantastic?
There is a pre-cut window on the back of the box so that a part of the plastic that needs to be cut can be easily opened when the frame is not covered. He finally came out of the box.
McKeilla has an oval face and pale skin with a few picks along her nose and cheeks. Her eyes are light green and she has eyelashes. Her lips are full and bare of makeup. I like her natural makeup.
She has long, wavy, dark brown hair. Her hair is quite messy at the back, but she feels nicely rooted.
She wore super cheap plastic and a black velvet covered felt. It is large but of very poor quality.
She is dressed in black leather sleeves, a white owl print t-shirt and kidney trousers. It's a wonderful jacket.
Without jackets we can see our shirts and jeans better. I love owls with glasses!
She also wears light gray knee socks with a very subtle pattern that looks like letters to me.
The shoes are red combat boots with black soles. They pressed "MC2" on the sole.
She does not have earrings, but she has a nice ring on which Mc2 is written.
It comes with a white plastic backpack decorated with silver chains and charms.
He also came with a composition book and a red memorial plaque. This tray is included in a composition book, which is ideal for spies.
McKeyla is a beautiful doll. I've never had a doll with tight eyes and I was worried it would be skewed in the photo, but it looks beautiful. I like the concept of the lines, especially the additional educational goals. The science of this experiment is quite simple, but it may arouse interest in girls.
Although the doll is very pretty, there are some quality issues. Body plastic is a bit cheap and the knee joints are very loose so you can not get up without falling. However, the hair and clothes are of good quality and I like the design a lot. Overall, this doll looks a bit expensive in terms of quality, at least in Spain.
I love Project Mc2 and would love to have a few more, but at a lower price. I also hope to see a new wave soon.
So what do you think of McKeyla? Do you collect Project Mc2 dolls?
