Date of birth.
When I was 17, I was afraid people would forget my birthday. Just a week after my mother died, I needed more love and attention. I went to school that day and told everyone in the hall that it was my birthday.
So you know what my birthday is today. I greeted and praised everyone I saw. It was much earlier than the age of Facebook և social networking ... so word of mouth was the only way to get attention or spread the word.
I had to go to a scout dinner with my dad that night (quite annoying) because my mom died, she needed a "plus 1" ... so I spent my birthday with my dad. I had a wonderful time with him, I was glad I was able to help him, no doubt he felt the loss of his beloved wife.
When I came home in the evening, I saw a table full of chocolates, flowers, bears, etc. waiting for me.
Apparently, I told him it was my birthday at school, so many boys took action when I was away and handed out gifts. It was a fun surprise.
Oh man, I love my attention. Outgoing bear !!!
And I love to draw.
