Mini Leather Refillable Notebooks DIY!

DIY mini reusable leather notebook!

Craft a mini leather notebook with refillable padding for the perfect notebook on the go. You will never have enough notebooks or sketchbooks. This cute little book is reusable, making it perfect for kids or to keep in a bag.

You must make a good present!

I never get tired of these amazing reusable notebooks and they are 20% perfect, they are so small! Everything is much better when on a Mini!

Here is a video tutorial for the full version which takes about a minute. I actually use a full size skin flap for the mini!

Accessories for reusable leather mini laptops:

Aged leather cutout 5x3"
Elastic fit 1/4", 8" and 7 1/4"
Paper cutout 4.5 x 2.5 inches

Step 1: Cut and prepare the skin

Start trimming the skin to a 5" x 3" piece. Then mark the center line 2.5" and 1/4" on either side of the center line.

Step 2: Define an island

Mark 1/2 inch from the edge on the line you drew earlier. Make holes with Crop-a-Deal.

Then place the bushings in the punched holes.

Step 3: Attach the elastic

Now thread an 8" elastic band through the hole and tie off the edges in the center.

Now, using a razor, make an X-shaped hole in the middle of the skin. Then thread a 7 1/4-inch piece of elastic through the hole and tie off the ends inside the crease.

Step 4: Fill It With Paper!

Now use a paper cutter to cut the paper to fit this cute leather notepad.

Now you can wrap the rubber band around the leather notebook so that it stays closed. The perfect little notepad, perfect to toss in your bag to take notes on the go, perfect as a gift or to wear as a necklace!

It's all!

I love notebooks so much--you can never have too many! This is my newest and most favorite book, because it uses regular paper and is refillable. Fill your leather journal with sketch paper, watercolor paper, kraft paper or just cheap copy paper.

And this beautiful series booklet!
