Make this heart as personal as you want. Cut the buttons from the clothes of a deceased loved one and make a little treasure for family members.

Use Grandmair's vintage buttons and vintage frame collection to add that traditional touch.

Ask all the grandchildren to help you choose the buttons to glue to the frame for a beautiful gift handmade with love.

Let's begin!

Materials needed to make a vintage hinged frame:

Vintage frame (or similar)
Chipboard according to the size of the frame.
Chipboard lining jute
Button
Glue gun

Materials for a vintage heart button frame: Hot glue / jute gun to cover the chipboard buttons to fit the vintage chipboard (or similar) frame.

Step 1: jute

Start by cutting the burlap about 1/2 inch more on each side than the chipboard. Fold the burlap with a little glue along the edges. Repeat for all four sides.

Step 1: Start the jute on each side of the jute about 1/2 inch larger than the chipboard. Fold the burlap with a little glue along the edges. Repeat for all four sides.

Cut the corners and glue them with a warm layer so that they don't go crazy.

Step 2: Button Base

You are now ready to fill in the buttons! I chose silver, gold, shiny and shiny buttons. But be creative! A rainbow color, an ombre effect, a random combination of old granny buttons - lots of fun ideas!

Step 2: Button Time You are now ready to fill the buttons! I chose silver, gold, shiny and shiny buttons.

Warm up a few simple buttons first to raise the level a bit. Hot glue them in the shape of a heart. If you need guidance, draw a heart on the jute with a thin pencil.

But first, heat up a few simple buttons to raise the level a bit.

I use the old army buttons ... the color is great and goes perfectly with the jute.

My husband used all the old buttons, destroyed and used military uniforms while he was in the army. He brought home a bottle full of these light brown buds, better than a bunch of flowers. I put them in the heart of my heart because I had so many and they were so annoying ...

But I also understand that he is my heart, my rock and my love ... that's how it works.

Step 3: Trendy Buttons

Now fill in the blanks with thin buttons. Just add some hot glue to the back or back of the button and stick it on.

Fill with large and small buttons to create a round heart shape.

Keep adding buttons until the main buttons are no less visible.

Step 4: Color Button

Then add a pop of color for fun! I made 2 pink buttons.

That's all!

Now you can hang it, support it and display it at home! I love this cute shabby chic piece!

This is also a nice gift!
