Nothing brings me as much joy as a pompom.

Story: When I was about 16, I attended a youth convention at Camp Williams (a nearby military base). My best friend, Kirsten, and I were happy we were in the military, so we went to Savers (a commercial store) and bought military camouflage pants.

The pants were very masculine and we decided to fix it. We took them to my house and started decorating. We added neon triangular panels from the knee to the bottom edge to make them look like flared pants.

To make it even higher, we added a green bottom over the pompoms around the bottom edge. Let's say we stood out the most in our group and the military liked it!

In October 2019, I was on vacation in the Turks and Caicos Islands, on social networks in the sand ( read more here ) with 2 of my friends.

On the way back we had a long transfer to New York. I was in town for the first time, so we packed our bags at the airport and took a taxi to Manhattan. It was a lot of fun and gave us some vacation along with our tropical vacation.

It was raining and cold, but that did not stop us from seeing as much as we could in such a short time. What I liked most, or what inspired me the most, is the Anthropology program. see this:

I developed this design in Photoshop and imported it into Cricut Design Space. I added the image 3 times and then deleted the sketch so that each letter had a different color. Right-click to save, for personal use only, please.

Vinyl is cut into red, yellow and pink. The best part of this project was that I used what I had and did not need to buy anything other than pillowcases.

I continued to add coins and eventually shone in strategic places above the letters, trying to imitate the hilarious window of Anthropology. If I had more power, I would use a needle and thread to add more. But I am very pleased with the results and a little effort!

I gave the glue for a few hours to make sure it worked and then inserted the gasket. I love how it happens! Isn’t it funny what inspires you to walk around Manhattan?

They had a second window with the word "Hurray" written on it. . . It was cute too, but Joy-ful melted my heart.
