I Spy Game Resin Trinket Serving Tray DIY
DIY I Spy Game Tray for serving resin trinkets!
This tray for spy games, full of miniatures and frills, makes a fun tray for serving with your own hands and becomes a great gift! Fill the tray with debris from the trash can or a small relic in a dusty jewelry box.Covered with a thick glossy resin coating, the ratchet stays in place and provides a smooth surface to accommodate anything on a tray or coffee table. Much of the conversation!
What will you get with your spy game? Wrenches, blocks, stationery, nuts / bolts, screws, nails, bottle caps, broken jewelry, amulets, token tips, stones, crystals, buttons, little toys, beads and more! What do you see in my resin tray?
Equipment needed for Eye Spy Tray:
- Resin EasyCast
- Accessories, miniatures, toys and gift bags
- hot glue gun
- Mix glasses, beat, throw on gloves
- serving tray
Step 1: Paste
Use hot glue to attach each mini ratchet to the bottom of the tray.Continue to fill in the gaps with small pieces. The pasture is the longest in my tray and uses a lot of resin to cover all the parts ... so plan and choose items that are equal.
Now I have run out of little things ... so I stop. There is room for more, so fill as much as you want.
The second step: resin
Now mix the 8 ounce resin package according to the instructions in 2 steps. Mix one part resin and one part hardener and mix for 2 minutes. Then pour the resin into a second bowl and with a new stick beat the resin for another minute. This mixing process is very important for the proper curing of the resin.
Then pour the resin mixture on the surface of the pan. The resin is self-leveling, so it moves across the tray and fills cracks, holes and small spaces in the trunk.
So start with just 8 ounces of resin to give yourself time to fill in the gaps.
Then cover the tray overnight. The coating prevents it from landing on dust, lint and flies. Of course, it would be a lot of fun to add flies to this spy tray, hahaha.
Once the resin has hardened overnight, add 8 ounces of resin to the bowl and add. Each resin-filled jar has a heavy tray, so keep that in mind. Continue this process of adding resin and leave overnight for a smooth coating.
Then stick the labels while the children look at the tray in search of a spy treat. This is a great handmade gift!
