How to Wrap an Open Box: Creative Gift Wrapping!
How to collect an open box - a creative gift box!
Here's how to put together an open box! We're short on gift boxes this time of year, but things don't always go our way. It's also a creative alternative to the basket! Wrap an open box in fancy, festive wrapping paper, then fill the box with gifts, sweets and treats.
It's a great way to collect something you want to display, something that's too big for your box, or to display your awesome gift.

Collecting gifts is my favorite activity!
It's a great way to collect something you want to display, something that's too big for your box, or to display your awesome gift.
Also works great for bringing dinner to a family... pack an open box to make it much cuter than a box, but they don't have to go back.
Supplies needed to pick up an open box:
1 cardboard (cut off the top wings) Gift Wrap
clean the tape Tape for rolls (you can always use clean tape and roll it up)
If you're lucky enough to get your hands on wrapping paper with grid lines on the back, you'll find this very easy.
Step 1: Cut the paper
To start, cut a piece of wrapping paper to fit all four sides of the box. Then cut the corner of the paper at the edge of the box at a 90 degree angle as shown in the image:
Repeat cutting corners on all four sides.
Stage 2: wrinkles
Fold the edge of each flap of paper about an inch.
Step 2: Tape
Tape all sides of the paper and wrap the top.
If you don't have a sticky roller, roll out the pieces of tape and stick them to the paper.
Step 3: Collect
Wrap it over the box and put the lid on the box.
Repeat this procedure for all 4 sides.
Now the box is covered with the entire outside of the box and can be filled with all kinds of sweets. You can also take the time to cut out the pieces in the box.
Simply cut a sheet-size panel out of the side of the box and seal it inside.
Or just add tissue paper and gifts and you probably won't see the inside of the box at all!
Step 4: Fill it with candy!
I have included a watercolor gift box:
Adult Color Gift Pack:
Handwritten gift package:
And the Paint Box... with some stickers:
Stacked in the open box for the best gift imaginable! I really like to collect craft supplies, so this is my kind of gift!
Also look for boxes to organize inside. The boxes can be stored to store magazines, crafts, office supplies, and even clothing. Great way to recycle old boxes!
This fun way to wrap an open box is perfect for many applications. Will you be collecting open boxes during the holiday season?
