How to Stencil a Doormat with Cricut

How to make a stencil for Easter with Cricut!

Yes, you can make stencils with Cricut! This fun tutorial will teach you how to draw a rug or porch stencil using Cricut. There is nothing more fun and attractive than a mattress made with your own hands on the porch.

This ambiguity is reasonable, it reads as "enter" or "go" depending on where you are.

I wrote “hello” or “hello” on the floor, but I asked my 12-year-old what he wanted. He said he saw a good website because it can be read in both directions. So I copied it. just for him. He is very proud.

Step 1: Prepare a cricot frost paper template.

To lay out a lightweight mattress that measures 12 x 24 inches, start by cutting up a piece of freezer paper and lay it on the mat with the shiny/waxed side on top of the sticky mattress. Upload an image to Cricut Design Space and resize it to 23.5 inches. Then insert the mattress and cut it into freezing paper.

Step 2. Heat the EasyPress Mini

Turn on the EasyPress mini and heat to maximum temperature.

Step 3: Save the template

Now remove and discard each cut letter from the freezing paper. We use only the outer space of the template.

Don't forget to keep the letters inside!

The template should look like this. Anything you want to draw on the template should disappear.

Then carefully remove the freezing paper from the mattress and place it on the mat. Use EasyPress mini to heat frozen paper and "glue" it to the floor in places. The waxy surface of the freezing paper will easily melt and adhere to the fabric.

If you use this technique on a t-shirt, it's very easy. Because this rug is highly textured, it won't fall off completely. Set it in place, and then pin the freezing paper to the floor with flat pins.

Then add half of the letters. Pinch them down and then pin them into place.

Step 4: Paint the Carpet

Now it's time to draw! Use a stencil brush and clear paint. When drawing, hold the template in your main hand. Use the direct "up-down" method so the paint doesn't fall under the stencil.

Fill the entire space with paint, then clean the brush.

After cleaning, but before the paint dries, remove the freezing paper from the mat.

It represents an elegantly decorated rug on the porch!

Now you can make all the rugs you want. Start a business, set it up for gifts, or just refresh the yard.

The only question is, do you invite the guests...or do you order them to leave?

My Cricut Maker is the best craft tool I have. I really love him and if anything happens to him I will replace him. Thinking of buying one? Read this article.
