Stock Required:
Small plastic bowl fits glass
One or more real crystals (can be clay or wood)
hot glue gun
stir sticks
mixing cup
Disposable and workplace gloves
Mold making:
Start making a glass mold. Find a plastic container that fits the glass you have. Crystals can be made of burnt clay or carved from wood.
Spray lightly with the spray to release the molds inside the container. Then apply hot glue to one side of the glass.
Press hot glue under the plastic container and make sure the glass is in place.
Now it's time to mix the easy-to-shape silicone rubber. Read and follow the instructions carefully.
Mix part of each bowl and mix well. Push the mold adapter into the jar and release the spray, which will help you when trying to remove the mold.
Mix according to the instructions, pour into a plastic container of silicone rubber, which completely covers the glass. Leave it in the jar for 24 to 48 hours.
After applying the silicone rubber, remove the mold from the plastic container. It might be a little tricky...but keep working with the moving stick by letting go of each point.
In resin:
Cut the top of the silicone mold with small scissors. Then add Easy Cast Resin. A good way to find out how much to mix is to fill the mold with water and then dump the water into a meter...then mix that amount.
Mix the EasyCast resin in the 2 stage process as shown. Mix one part with the hardener for 2 minutes using a mixing stick. Then pour it into a second cup and mix with a second stick for a full minute.
Pour the resin into the glass mold. Let the resin harden for 24 hours. Then remove the resin crystals from the silicone mold. The mold is made of silicone and is flexible as it pops out very easily. Repeat as many times as you like!
This resin crystal is amazing! You don't have to worry about bubbles, they give each crystal their character and reality. Reflect sunlight like a prism. Now that you know how to make resin crystals - what do you do with them?
