How to Make Resin Quartz Crystals

How to make quartz crystals from resin

This fun craft will let you create as many beautiful crystals ... enough to fill a treasure chest! They look like real quartz crystals and reflect light in the same way. Learn how to make resin crystals with easymold and easycast resin. Let's get started!

Requirements:

Small plastic containers suitable for crystals.
1 or more real crystals (can be made of clay or wood)
Glue gun
Mixed sticks
Mixing bowl
Disposable gloves and work surface.

Cooking temperature:

Start by creating a crystal shape. Find a plastic container that matches the actual crystals you have. Crystals can also be cast from baked clay or carved from wood.

Gently spray the mold into the container. Then apply hot glue on one side of the glass.

Press the hot glue under the plastic container, secure in place of the crystals.

Now it's time to mix the easymold silicone rubber. Read and follow the instructions carefully.

Mix one serving from each jar and mix well. Spray mold conditioner and loose spray inside the container to help when trying to remove the mold.

After mixing according to the instructions, pour the silicone rubber into a plastic container, completely covering the crystal. Leave the pot for 24-48 hours.

Once the silicone rubber has hardened, remove the mold from the plastic container. It may be a little hard ... but keep working with the mixer, loosening each end.

Career Preparation:

Cut the top of the silicone rubber mold with small scissors. Then add easycast resin. A good way to know how much to mix is to fill the mold with water and then pour water into the measuring cup ... then mix that amount.

Mix EasyCast Resin in 2 steps as per instructions. Mix one part resin with one part hardener using a mixing stick for full 2 minutes. Then pour into a second glass and mix with the second bar for a full 1 minute.

Pour the resin into a glass mold. Let the resin dry for 24 hours. Then remove the resin crystals from the silicone mold. Since the molds are silicone and elastic, they are very easy to remove. Repeat as many times as you want!

This resin crystal is amazing! No need to worry about bubbles, they give each glass character and reality. They reflect sunlight like a prism. Now that you know how to make resin crystals, what do you do with them?

To see? You can't even tell which is the real quartz crystal.

Create a treasure chest, a princess / pirate-themed banquet, or simply light a window seal.

That's it!
