Shiny resin cups with Cricut DIY Vinyl
Already in trophy mode? This was my first time and I love the intense light! Make a shiny glass for the perfect handmade gift ... Perfect for teachers, friends or family.
Customize them with your favorite colors or names and brightness. Drinking plenty of water every day is a good reminder ... or for a hot drink with a cold breakfast.
It shines like a flashlight in the sun! Please note, this dishwasher is not safe ... but I do not wash any stainless steel cups in the sink. Hand washing for safety. get started!
Materials needed for bright resin glass
Cutting Chrome Vinyl with Cricut Maker
Tape for painters
Cleaning with alcohol
Sandpaper
Turner Cup (or double! )
Step 1: Wipe with alcohol!
First clean the container with alcohol.
Step 2: Ribbon!
Then tape the top and bottom of the cup with blue tape.
Step 3: Reflect!
Start painting glossy on all visible glasses. Cover the whole cup and let it dry. Then combine the thick cheese with the modopog and spread it all over the glass. Then let it dry completely.
Step 4: Create vinyl!
Use Cricket Creator to cut a phrase or name from metal vinyl or adhesive paper.
Once the cup is completely dry, wipe the reflector so it is enough to glue the vinyl to make the floor smooth. Apply the cut vinyl to the cup, just above the wires.
Step 5 ፡ Copy the trophy!
Now we need a cup turning station to make the glue.
Cup rotors are the cheapest and most popular because you probably have to buy one! But if you want to do it yourself, here is an unwanted version.
I used a long handle that I rotated through the holes in the cardboard box. Then a piece of pool foil is placed on the bottom of the ankle.
Step 6: Glue!
Now mix the reflective glue according to the instructions on the package.
Mix well in a two-step process.
Now use the frame to spread the tar on the glass ... on the rotation. Rotate slowly and continuously for the first 30 minutes.
The power plant will be great here! If you have a generator, let it run for 4 hours and then another 4 hours. Then flip the switch and straighten it 24 hours a night to make it work.
Use straw to remove the foam 30 minutes after injection.
Then rotate the cup 1/4 time per minute for the next 30 minutes. Then turn every 1/4 every 2-3 minutes ... and continue to rotate regularly for the next 4-5 hours.
Again, getting an electric shock eliminates all effort in your spare time.
After 5 hours, check the glue slightly and see how hard it is. If it still looks slippery, roll it up ... otherwise let it dry overnight.
Then stop overnight. Remove the tape the next day.
The coating leaves a clean line, suitable for drinking or to protect the lips from asphalt. The glue is safe for food, so it is not a problem, it is just a comfort.
