Giant Hand Dyed Coffee Filter Rose DIY
Hand painted giant DIY coffee filter
The bright giant flowers are my favorite! I'm very allergic to real flowers so I can't keep them at home. Instead, I made paper roses. This is my new and favorite! Make a giant hand-painted coffee filter flower with just a few ingredients. This giant paper flower measures 16 inches square. Perfect for a single eye-catching flower...or to decorate a flower on the wall, perfect for a party, wedding, huge bouquet or any other famous occasion!
This stunning flower has 115 hand painted coffee filters with a soft thin layer.
I'm going to show you how to make a great coffee filter flower. If so, post and tag me @doodlecraft I want to encourage you!

Giant Coffee Filter Flower Accessories:
115 coffee filters per flower
food coloring
the water
stapler
Plaque
Waxed paper or plastic tablecloth
Step 1: Paint the coffee filter
First, pour about 1/8 cup of water into a shallow bowl. Add half a teaspoon of food coloring. The more food coloring you use, the lighter the color will be. Mix water and paint together.
Take 4-5 coffee filters, fold them in half and hold the middle.
Then dip the coffee filter in colored water. The coffee filter absorbs the color of the food.
Then place the coffee filter on waxed paper or a plastic tablecloth to dry. Repeat for multiple colors. Let the coffee filter dry completely...about 8 hours or overnight.
Now the coffee filter is ready to turn into a beautiful rose.
Step 2: Make coffee filter flowers
Start making roses from the center to the edges.Create a center:
Start by stacking the yellow and orange flowers in a stack of 5 coffee filters, then cut them in half.
Pin the corners together and roll the center stack into a cone, leaving the edges on the curved part of the coffee filter.
Collect rose petals:
Arrange the rose petals and fold 5 coffee filters. Then place the center of the rose over the petals.
Fold the petals in half and glue them together.
Repeat the process with the other 5 coffee filters folded in half.
Then tie together.
Repeat the process for the petals. The center expands, so the petals are placed separately. Simply pin it on one side, then fold it over and pin it on the other side.
It's very nice to see roses bloom! When creating a background, create roses of any size.
Layer them in different colors to add volume and variety. Continue gluing the petals around the rose.
I started with pink, red and orange then I finished my roses with turquoise and green. Decide what you want your roses to look like and go!
I love the thin coffee filter coating on these roses.
Make petals over the previous petals until you are happy with the shape. My rose is 16 inches square and about 6 inches long. I love it! It uses 115 coffee filters.
Here is the opposite side of the rose, you can see the petals growing on the previous one.
Petals make it easy to hang roses on a hook.
I love the look of the watercolor painting of the petals.
You don't like it!? It's a 3D work of art!
Unfortunately, my coffee filter was empty and there was nothing I could do. But I love how it turned out!
Decorate your walls with soft and shiny coffee filter roses now!
