A stand made of molded resin with your own hands in galaxy colors
Make beautiful galaxy pads from glossy resin of bright colors. These incredible plates are addictive when using this fun resin casting technique. Stands are a great place to work with resin... and then move on to more art. Plus details at the end of my birthday gift post.I've been working with ETI-USA on the Resin Crafts blog for a few years now. I enjoy working with resins. The use of resin enhances any project, making it more professional. These resin pads are no exception, I love the quality of their work in bright colors.

Step 1. Stand under the galaxy
Start by painting all the stands. Then place it in a small cup on a disposable surface. I used a plastic cloth, the resin peels off as soon as it hardens, so it can be used more than once. Or, you can use resin drops for another similar fun project.
Step 2. Mix the resin
Mix 8 ounces of resin using the two-step process as shown on the package. Then pour the resin into a smaller cup.Step 3. Mix colors
Add a little color to each cup. Add color variety by combining pigments. Then mix everything thoroughly with a stick.Make sure the stand protrudes from the table so that excess resin escapes. Make sure the table is level. The small glass underneath may get water on it, but once it dries it will come off easily.
Step 4. Fill in the color
Now apply a different resin color to each pad. Use gloved hands to bend Bend the support to direct it to the side. (I know I'm without gloves, but it's quite possible... it smells sticky)Then put it back in the small cup.
Step 5. Set the warm-up time
When pouring resin into the chamber, use a hot stamping tool or heat gun to blow off the resin. The heat melts the punch resin.
Spread the resin around the stand. This will change the color of the blurry image, revealing a lacquered base… like a galaxy.
Small cells formed like magic. Stop when satisfied. Let the resin harden. It's hard to know when to stop. Don't think about the process...don't go overboard with the resin.
Admire this amazing booth after a few days of treatment. I love how they turned out.
Which of these pads do you like the most? It has all the basic colors.
It is a scattering of shades of red and pink. But these subtle colors are also super cute.
There's really no way of knowing how the resin changes when heated - it's magical.
This blue pink galaxy tray is my favorite... almost ocean waves... maybe that's why I love it so much. Sea foam bubbles movement at high altitude.
As I mentioned, you will be hooked on creating this fun environment. Casting resin is a lot of fun. They treat small, shiny pieces of art perfect for a coffee table.
