DIY Command Center Back to School with Plaid!
How does going back to school feel to you?
Do you remember last year? Another year has passed with hybrid schedules, a slew of new homeschoolers, virtual students, and those returning to public schools wearing masks and leaving.
The only thing that does not change in all areas is the need for good organization.
Build a DIY command center for all of your school's organizational needs with Plaid products . This amazing command center is perfect for moms who need to stay organized and stick to a schedule.
It is convenient for students to keep up with their assignments and homework. Teachers can use it to keep up with everyday topics and supplement additional skins.
How would you use your command center?
Materials needed for a DIY command center:
- Popular acrylic painting (waterfall, basin, sea view)
- Gold plated treasure (gold)
- 1 x 2 plates 21" long
- 1 1 5" plate (3)
- small nails and hammer
- Leather strap (or strap you can wear)
- Velcro closure strap
- Screwdriver
- Scotch tape
- cleaned the soup can
- glue gun
- chewing gum E6000
Step 1 - Paint the Palette
Start by painting the palette board however you like.
I painted the banner in three different colors, which left a natural part. Then let it dry.
Step 2 - Paint the Board
Then place painter's tape on the board to hide where the paint has collected.
Paint the wood, then remove the masking tape and let the board dry completely.
Then add some Treasure Gold paint strokes for a modern look.
These little golden dots are perfect for a golden touch reminiscent of an animal print. Use paint stains to cover any imperfect spots with blue paint.
Step 3: Decorate the hangers with crystal handles.
Repeat the same procedure above for the crystal pins. Use masking tape to cover part of the tree. Then paint the tree with turquoise paint. Let it dry completely.
Then apply some Treasure Gold in the same way as on the board.
Step 4 – Paint the Soup Can
Now paint the soup pot blue. Let it dry and apply another coat of paint.
Step 5: Build the Assignment Center
Let's start compiling this task post. Start by removing the hooks on the back of the glass handle hook.
Then remove the brand wires from the pallet with clamps.
Take a strip of leather (or duct tape) and cut the wood.
On a 20-21 inch long 1x2 board, add E6000 glue to the top. Also add a drop of hot glue. Hot glue cures immediately, while E6000 cures slowly.
Place the board on the back of the pallet and mark it. Hot glue the small panels under the counter so they stick properly to the wall. Then let the glue dry for 4 hours.
Then attach the soup can to the leather strap. Attach one end to the deck with a small nail and hammer. You can also use hot glue.
Then add a strip of hot glue to the soup pot.
Then put the bottle on the platform and wrap it in the skin.
Pull out the other side of the leather strip, holding it tight.
Hot glue the 2-inch leather strips from the clip tray label to the crystal handle hook.
Hot glue is enough to secure it, but I added some screws for added strength...and look.
Step 6 - Close the Hook and Loop for the Card
Now add the Velcro band to the paddle. Place the hook side on the pallet board and the door/smooth side on the board.
This allows you to hold the plate comfortably without scratching the plastic hooks. The board is versatile for writing lists, to-do lists, motivational quotes, or for practicing writing skills.
TA-daah! Finish!
Close now and enjoy being super organized!
Set up a command station in a hallway, hallway, or on top of a table. Stay organized at home with a list, a motivational quote, a quick cover, and some stationery.
Pull out the whiteboard from the command center to practice writing letters or solving simple math problems. Hang flashcards and glossaries to write or memorize. Fill a cup with stationery.
Stay up-to-date with the current day's topic, make a to-do list, and keep an eye on the markers and crayons on the whiteboard. Keep everything organized and in one place!
How do you think this command center will help you in the Back to School game?
