These hot chocolate bombs are great, but ideal for a big cup of hot chocolate. The creamy chocolate is melted directly into the drink to make it the perfect chocolate addition.
Get creative with hot chocolate bombs by adding hot cocoa flavored powders such as dark chocolate, caramel or vanilla, then add all kinds of candy, mint or candies, cayenne pepper , cinnamon or caramel! There are so many options out there.
Let's start with the hot chocolate light bombs.
Ingredients needed to make a chocolate bomb:
hot chocolate powder
Proline melts
Dehydrated Miniature Marshmallows (you can use mini marshmallows, but I love these little dehydrated ones!)
Silicone molds (the ones I used are 3.14 inches wide)
curtain brush
Other blends (optional)
gloves
electric fry pan
Step 1: Hot chocolate shells
Begin melting the chocolates according to package directions. Then place a spoon in each shaped indentation and spread it with a kitchen brush in the same way as possible.
Repeat the chocolate dosing process for each mold cavity.
Then turn them over on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and place them in the freezer for 5 minutes.
Step 2: Hot chocolate shells, part 2
Once the chocolate balls are in the freezer for 5 minutes, remove them and apply a second layer of chocolate to each shell.
It's important because there are a lot of hits and they break when the bombs aren't very strong.
Then put it back in the freezer for 5 minutes.
Step 3: Detonate the bombs
Now that the chocolate is solid, remove the shells from the pan. Do not touch the chocolate with your fingers, otherwise they will leave fingerprints. Put on gloves.
Now place the electric pan on the lowest level. Put on the gloves, place the chocolate dome in the mold for a few seconds so that the rough edges melt. Then put it in the pan.
Step 5: Fill with hot chocolate
Now take out 1/4 cup of hot cocoa powder and pour in half of the dome. It will fill almost anything!
Sprinkle hot chocolate powder with a mix of mini marshmallows and more.
Sprinkle hot chocolate powder with a mix of mini marshmallows and more.
Step 6: Fill the bomb with hot chocolate
At this point, lightly melt the other half of the dome above the pan and immediately place it directly into the half-filled bottom. The chocolate should be soft enough to fuse together. Alternatively, wipe away the chocolate around the joint with a knife or the back of a spoon.
Step 7: Decorate the bombs with hot chocolate
Finally, season the hot chocolate bombs with the chocolate bar and sprinkle. Filling can also be a way to differentiate between different flavors!
They fit perfectly in a cupcake bowl so they can be wrapped in cellophane to make the perfect handmade gift or fun gift.
Again, it would be great to do it in January.
January is a very dark and sad year for many people...a hot chocolate bomb will brighten up a slightly brighter and more fun gray January day.
Making these hot chocolate bombs is all about love. I didn't want to do it in one order, but it was fun to do 12.
They look great and taste great! Perfect for a snowy winter day.
That's all!
Merry Christmas! Have a good week-end!
