Butter Toffee with Roasted Almonds Recipe

Iris recipe with fried nuts

There are some things I like about chocolate ... but one of them is buttermilk. Sweet cream and whipped cream! Add a slice of fried almond to this delicious iris for a perfect meal.

Great treat for any day and time of the year. Save Christmas! It is a sweet gift any time of the year.


We learned that my little boy had a chocolate allergy when he was younger ... so we had to look for "treatment" options. Caramel is something that everyone can agree on.

Chocolate ice cream is great without it. My son is not allergic to chocolate, which was a great relief for him.

For sweeteners with fried almond oil:

2 sticks (1 cup) real butter
1 1/3 cups castor sugar
4 tablespoons corn syrup
4 tablespoons water

Place the fried nuts in a box
(Distribute in a bread pan ... change 10 times every 275 * 30 minutes)

And a silicone plate ... or a plate with an aluminum foil

You will need a bowl with a thick bottom.
(Not under copper ... it burns very fast)



Step 1: Fry the nuts

Cut the nuts with a knife and place in an oven or cover the edges with aluminum foil. Make them one layer thick.


Step 2: Boil the ingredients

In a deep frying pan add butter, corn syrup, sugar and water.

My pan is small ... but it still works! Turn the burner on.


Rotate slowly until it melts ... This is a very fast process so stay tuned.


It starts to swell ... it rises to the top of the pan. Stir constantly.


See what I mean ... the mixture is not very suitable!


It then starts to thicken and thicken in the bowl.


Bring to a boil quickly and stir constantly.


Then all of a sudden ... he gets fat enough, gets dark and he starts smoking! It's over !!! Remove from heat immediately!


Step 3: Pour in the nuts

Pour in the chopped nuts. Or if you don't want nuts, throw them away. Dip it in chocolate if desired, but we prefer toasted nuts.

In fact, it is best to leave the caramel overnight. It's hard to wait until the next day to try a sample ... but it tastes better than you.
