Copper metallic vinyl on black craft foam bookmarks made with the Cricut Maker and knife blade.

Foam Marker Pen Craft Maker Knife Blade

Cricut Maker is versatile with a variety of customizable tools for any project! Adaptive Cricket Instrument System plus 10X Power Hall Maker hides great features with blades, rotating blades and grooved wheels.

I fell in love with knife blades and their many uses. The knife blade can cut leather, bark, balsa wood, chipboard, carpet board, faux leather and craft foam. These craft sponge markers are super fast and perfect for your first try with a knife blade .

If you have never used the blade, start by inserting the blade into the machine and calibrating the blade in the cricket design room.

Accessories needed for foam bookmarks:

  • Cricut Maker is different from other cutting machines. It is extremely strong, has high cutting ability and great dexterity!
  • Knife blade (compatible for cutting 2.4mm thick materials)
  • craft foam
  • vinyl metal
  • line
  • sign tape
  • Cricut Design Space (1.5" x 5" rectangular design with small circle at top center and cut out vinyl for design see photo)

Cricket Making Machine

Step 1: Glue the foam

Glue the craft foam to the carpet. Slide the white star guide to the far right of the engine blade.

Step 2: Cricut Maker Settings

Set the maker to Craft Foam Cutting and click the Start button. After slicing them with a knife, see if they are already sliced. I own. If you need more parts, click the Go button again.

Then remove the mat from the machine and skim the mat. Remove excess foam for that favorite bookmark.

Step 3: Find the score bar

Insert the fine end blade into the machine and cut out the metal vinyl die.

Make sure it's metallic vinyl and set it to a "more" depth.

Remove the carpet from the machine and the vinyl from the carpet. Extra vinyl grass from the picture.

Step 4: Transfer the Vinyl

Then use transfer paper to attach the decal to the foam marker. Trim the edges of the vinyl to perfectly match the foam marker.

I love the contrast between the copper and black... but use any color you want!

They are shiny and perfect.

Step 5: Tassel

Add a bow of thread, tassel, or ribbon to your bookmarks for the perfect finishing touch.
