Watercolor Floral Notebooks with The Cinch Binding Tool!
Watercolor flower notebooks with Cinch picture!
I love making notebooks, magazines, journals, or sketches, and Cinch Binding Tool is the perfect way!
I’ll show you how to make your own notebooks for a great DIY gift, how to keep up with doodles, nice magazines or just returns! Create a wired notebook in minutes.
I bought The Cinch three years ago at my local hardware store for $ 15! I wasn't sure it would work ... it's a risk you take when buying used hands.
I argued for a while ... but then I realized that I could pay off the device loan if it didn't work. I bought it and never looked back!
Here's a video of the previous release's zinc-binding machine running:
The best part is that laptops can be made the way you want them to. Choose the size, choose the filling paper, shuffle! Take the threads of different sizes and make them as thick or thin as you like.
I started with four notebooks in the middle, but after cutting out the pages, I had a lot left. So I made other sizes and I love them.
Make a notebook and leave the cover blank for the recipient to decorate, or design the cover just like me.
These mini notebooks are the perfect size for quick notes, in a bag - a great gift idea for teachers.
Well, professional advice:
If you have a cinch tying machine , threading can be expensive. I asked for a 2: 1 thread stitch, which is 3/4 "white gold. (I get it from MyBinding.com )
Actually, now that I have a car, I can't believe I didn't! It’s a great price now, just for the holidays.
Materials for Cinch Hard Shell Notebooks:
Thread 2: 1 point, 3/4 and 1 1/2 inches in diameter
Strathmore Heavyweight Mixed Media Paper (This material is very thick and suitable for laptop covers)
(Color paper, watercolor paper, drawing paper, fill paper, etc.)
For watercolor:
Dr. Indian Ink PH Martens (gives a very bright color)
Step 1: Watercolor
Start cutting your Strathmore Mixed Media thick paper into the size you need for the surface of your notebook. Then ink the design you want! Then let the ink dry completely.
The covers can also be left blank for the recipient to design on their own!
Step 2: Cut the paper
Now cut the filler paper, chipboard and wrapping paper to the size of a notebook. These favorite books are 4 "x 6" in size.
Each book needs a piece of sheet metal for the back, and a mixed technique for the top. The filler can be 1/2 inch thick ... so depending on the thickness of the paper you are filling, the amount of paper will vary.
Step 3: Make holes
Read the chart in relief now. Since my paper is 6 inches wide, I need to pull out the # 12 button so it doesn’t fall in the middle of the slot. Then align the paper to the left and pull the lever.
Zinc can make 20 papers to fill at one time. I usually only do 6-8 pages at a time.
Repeat the stamping process on the board and all the filler paper.
Make sure the paper is aligned at one edge and press that edge into the machine.
Step 4: Shot
Now it’s time to tie the notebook. Start counting the holes in the perforated paper. Then cut the rope so that it has as many loops as possible. Then hang the cord on the side of the machine.
First, put the backing of the board on the wires.
Then place the cover of the notebook face down on the wire board.
Double-check that you are facing the right direction when you open the cover. You ruined some of them!
Then load all the filler paper into the threads.
Step 5: Link
Carefully lift the cables from the edge and place them directly on the back of the tape. Make sure it is set to the diameter of the cables you are using. Then press the lever to cut the wires.
Then take out the notebook and check the cables. I love how easy it is to keep up!
Repeat this process for most of the laptops you can think of!
I usually start the drawing with a slightly larger paper than the final product so that I can cut out the edges and let the image blend into a notebook.
After cutting my 4 "x 6" filler paper, I was left with a lot of garbage that I didn't want to waste. So I cut out the blackboard and wrapping paper to fit, and used my leftovers to line up the little notebooks.
What is your favorite notebook? I’ll be giving away some Christmas presents, even though I love notebooks and save them! This makes the Cinch Binding tool very useful and adorable ... and it really is worth its weight in gold.
Add a fun pen and a heart message, pom! Perfect gift! My daughter and I created a travel magazine. You paint on one page, I paint on the next ... We play again and again and wait to see each other's art or reflections.
