Photo compilation: July-August 2021
Hello and welcome to another photo group. Can you believe it's already September? The year has gone by so fast, and before we know it, it's Christmas again. This compilation will be brief, because in the last few months I haven't been inspired much to photograph dolls, and most of the time I post on Instagram , actually blogged.
July started with the street footage being posted. Remember the house by the pool ? I had the opportunity to come back at the end of June and take some knockoff photos of my 1959 Kira BMR.
I had the opportunity to come back a few more times but it was always too late and too hot to take pictures. I hope to have the opportunity to go at least one more time before the end of summer.
In March we went to the same house and I took some photos in the garden. Thinking I won't get a chance to come back this summer, I took some photos of Kira by the pool. These photos stayed on my computer until August, when I finally posted them.
In this collection you will see many pictures of Kira. I know I said in my review that I was very disappointed with it, but now I'm starting to see it from a different perspective.
These March photos aren't the oldest I've ever posted. At one point, I didn't have anything ready and went through some photos I took last summer and found a photo of Chloe that I hadn't posted.
The plants in this photo are red geraniums in pots, but they make a beautiful backdrop.
I didn't take as many outdoor photos as I planned this summer, so I had to use my "indoor garden" to take some photos. You can see my public post, but insider post post for full details .
I found some coasters that look like plates and used them as props for these pictures. This picture of chloe has to be my favorite of the lot.
Some of you know I wanted to learn to sew and start making doll-sized pillows. The whole idea of this post photo is that I want to see a yellow pillow against a blue wall.
I think it's a great combination, but I could really use more pillows or colorful blankets/sheets to breathe more life into them.
Like the photos above, some of my photos start with the concept of color combinations that I remember. For these photos, I wanted to do something fun and colorful using pink and blue.

For this photo, I put the paper back on the postcard for a different effect and used my flower box as props.
And that's quite a lot for this photo set. Let me know which one is your favourite. In the last few days, I've been getting more and more excited about working on doll projects and taking pictures, which is always a good sign. I'm currently working on a doll-sized bookshelf, which will likely be my next post. Then I can start working on the hardwood floors from my photos and I'm sure it will be a labor intensive project.
I don't have many ideas for non-craft related posts. I love doing crafts, but this post takes up most of my time, and editing and cropping the images I draw can be very tedious. So, if you have any ideas or suggestions, let me know in the comments section.
Good luck and see you next time
