Island in the Sun Reflective Iron-On Vinyl Running Shirt DIY
An "island of the sun" racing shirt that mirrors the metal in "DIY" vinyl.
I love Wizer's song "Island in the Sun". I remember driving to Salt Lake City in 2002 when I first heard the song on the radio.
Isn't it funny how music transports you through time and space? It's been popular year after year so why not my running shirt theme. This running shirt is made of folded vinyl, so when you run in the dark, it reflects the headlights.
Yes, I started running again at the beginning of August. I spent two years walking with one or two friends and then decided to go a little higher and run at regular intervals.
It was great and I think I'm getting stronger and more stable! Shiny shirts or jackets are very important when running in the dark... Let's make one like mine now at 5:30 am!
Supplies required:
Sportswear
Shiny metal on vinyl
jack maker

Here's how to draw
- And then you can customize your design according to the song of your choice!Start by clicking on the "Shape" tool in the left sidebar, select the circle and create a large circle. Their size varies from 5 to 6 inches.
Then add other shapes. I wanted to create the island in the solar atmosphere, another circle for the sun and an island. I brought a fin and some waves. Put them where they are best.
Select all the layers except the large center circle and "glue" them together.
Then select the weld bead and the circle and click the "Drag" button. It creates 4 layers.
Find shapes that display shadows in a circle that appear the way you want Then remove the other layers.
Now add text and select the desired font.
Then use the "Curved Text" function to round the text. Add some space after the "sun" to create a small gap at the bottom.
And I added a little star * to mark the beginning and end of the sentence. Then measure the size around the logo you created.
Select the logo and text and "paste" together.
Then resize to your desired shape to go. I chose 9 inches on the back of my shirt.
Copy the image, select the material and place the vinyl metal on the cutting board and press the cut key.
As soon as you are finished cutting, remove the vinyl from the mat and brush away any excess metal. There is an extra layer of this reflective material that does not need to be removed. It peels off easily when heated.
You can see the part of the palm tree that I completely removed from that extra blanket, and that's fine, but it's hard... so don't worry.
Sit on the easypress mat and place the metal on your shirt.
Then touch according to the suggested settings found here.
If you put a logo on the front of your shirt, do it now. Then let the shirt cool completely. Clean the jar after it has cooled...that extra layer will be shaved off immediately.
Then he took off his shirt! It's a cool white vinyl that glows when turned on. Here is the back of the shirt:
This is the logo on the front of the shirt.
Perfect running t-shirt for beginners like me! I don't intend to win any prizes or break any records but it's good that you are recovering! The running t-shirt is also a great DIY gift for runners!
