Step 1: Glue

Use a hot glue gun to glue each gem to the bottom of the tray.

Continue to fill in the blanks with small pieces. The bones were the longest on my plate, and I used lots of resin to cover all the parts ... so plan accordingly and choose straight objects.

At that point, my little piece ran out ... so I gave up. There is more space, so fill as much as you like.

Step 2: Resin

Now mix 8 ounces of two-step resin as per package instructions. Mix 1 part resin and 1 part hardener and mix for 2 whole minutes.

Then pour the resin into the bowl of the second mixture and stir the resin for another minute using a new stick. This mixing process is very important for the resin to harden properly.

Then pour the resin mixture on the surface of the ceiling. The resin is self-leveling, so it will wrap around the tray and fill cracks, holes and small spots in the decor.

So start with just 8 ounces of resin to give yourself time to fill in the blanks.

After 20 minutes, use a heat gun or small oven to release the bubbles.

Then cover the tray overnight. This will prevent the paint from falling on dust, feathers and even flies. Of course it would be fun to add flies to this spy dish, hahaha.

To allow the resin to harden overnight, stir it and add another 8 ounces of resin to the pan. Each cup filled with resin makes it heavier, so don’t forget it. Continue this process by adding resin and leave overnight until a smooth finish.

Then stick a label on what the kids see when they look at the candy box. This is a great handmade gift!
