This is a great way to pack what you want, make it look too big for the box you have on hand, or just display your wonderful gift.

Great for a family dinner...just wrap the box so it looks much better than the box, but you don't have to send it back.

Equipment needed to pack an open box:

1 box (with lid cut off)
Container
remove tape
Roll up the tape (you can still use clear tape and roll it up)

Materials needed to pack open boxes: 1 box (with lid cut off) masking tape roll of packing paper tape

If you are lucky enough to find wrapping paper with mesh lines on the back, you will find it very easy.

Step 1: Cut the paper

First, cut a piece of wrapping paper to fit the square on all four sides. Then cut the corners of the wrapping paper so that the corners of the box form a 90-degree angle, as shown in the image:

Repeat the cut corners on all four corners.

Step 2: Fold

Fold the edges of each fold of paper about 1 inch or so.

Step 2 – Tape

Tape the ribbon to the wrapping paper around the edges and at the top.

If you don't have a roll of tape, simply roll it up and stick it to the paper.

Step 3: Wrap

Wrap it in a box and put the lid on the box.

Repeat this process for all 4 sides.

Now the box is completely closed from the outside and can be filled with various things. You can also take the time to cut pieces to fit the box.

Simply cut a piece of wrapping paper to fit the side of the box and glue it inside.

Or just add tissue paper and a gift and it probably won't show up in the box!
