How to Stencil a Doormat with Cricut
As a template transfer service with Cricut!
Yes, you can create templates with Cricut! Learn how to make a porch rug or door service template with Cricut in this fun tutorial. There is nothing more fun and inviting than a custom made rug.
This ambiguity is clever, you read "enter" or "go" depending on where you are.
I wanted to write "welcome" or "hello" on the carpet, but I asked my 12 year old what he wanted. He said he saw one on the Internet and it was very cool because it could be read in all directions. So I copied it. Only for him. She is very proud.

Accessories required for template door service:
Snow mat Cricut Easy Grip 12 x 24 cm
Folkart facade paint (I have a sink)
Correct handles
Coconut mat (this is what I used but it looks good too )

Step 1 Create a paper freeze stencil with Cricut.
First, cut out a piece of freeze paper to fit a 12 x 24 light rug and place it on the carpet so the light side of the rug is tacky/washable. Upload the image to Cricut Design Space and resize it to 23.5 inches long. Then insert the mat and cut the freeze paper.
Step 2: Warm up the EasyPress Mini
Connect the EasyPress mini and heat it up to the maximum temperature.Step 3: Save the Template
Now carefully remove each cut out letter from the freezer paper and discard. We use outer space only to create a model.
Don't forget to save the insides of the letters too!
The model should look like this. Everything you want in the finished painting should be in the model.
Then carefully remove the freezer paper from the carpet and place it on the door. Use the EasyPress Mini Freezer to heat the paper and stick it to the carpet in places. The waxy surface of the freeze paper melts and easily sticks to dust.
If you are using this technique on a shirt, it is very easy. Because this rug is so textured, it doesn't look perfect. Then glue and pin the freezer paper to the carpet.
Then add the centers of the letters. Tighten and then release.
Step 4: Paint the carpet
Now is the time to draw! Use a stencil brush and paint on the outside. Hold the model while drawing with your non-dominant hand. Use the straight up and down motion method to keep the ink from getting under the stencil.
Fill all the space with color and clear the brush.
After cleaning the brush, but before the paint is dry, remove the freeze paper from the door cover.
