How to Make a Vintage Button Heart Frame
How vintage heart button frames work!
Learn how to flip vintage buttons onto decorative frames. Take out the old cake buttons and use them to make beautiful decorations for your home. Collect items from around the house or go to the dollar store to find the items needed for this craft.
It's a great handmade gift, perfect for Valentine's Day and New Year's Day, and can be used as crafts for kids!
I love the combination of old and new. Rustic and polished. These poles form opposite pairs. This button art is sparkling and classic...made from gemstones and decorative frames!
It's so easy to do and believe me it only takes 15 minutes!?
Quick crafting is my favorite. A few shows and a little time make this outfit very popular on Valentine's Day or any day of the week. We could all use more love in our lives, couldn't we? This heart is complete.
Personalize this heart as you wish. Cut the clothes of your loved ones and make precious jewelry for your family.
Use grandfather's old-fashioned knobs and vintage frame combinations to complete the tradition.
Have all of your grandkids choose a button to post to the frame.
Let's start!
Vintage heart button frame requirements
Vintage frame (or similar)
Particle board for frame installation
Burlap Blanket Board
Button
hot glue gun
Step 1: Applause
Start by cutting the bulbs over 1/2 inch from each side board. Apply glue to the edges and bend the bulb. Repeat for all four sides.
Cut corners and hot glue to avoid cracking.
Replace the shingle on the frame.
Step 2: Button Base
Now ready to be filled with nails! I chose silver, gold, glitter and sequins. But be creative! Rainbow color combinations, shaded results, random mix of old JD keys - lots of fun ideas!
First I glued some clean keys to make small steps. Heart shaped hot glue. If you need instructions, go ahead and draw the bag with a simple pencil.
I used the buttons from the old army uniform...the color is really nice and goes well with the boulevard.
When my husband was in the military, he used all the old military tires. Bring home a bowl full of tintin locks instead of a bouquet of flowers. Because I have so many, I have them in my heart and they are very annoying...
But I also understand that it's my heart, my heart, my love... so it works.
Step 3: Favorites button
Now fill in the blanks with the fan button. Apply a small amount of hot glue to the back or back of the button and glue it in place.
Fill in the big and small buttons to form a round heart.
Keep adding buttons until the primary button is no longer visible.
Step 4 Color Button
Then add some color for fun! I made two pink keys.
Not anymore!
The phone is now ready to be turned off, saved and viewed at home! I love this incredibly chic piece!
Great gift too!
