How to Make a Succulent Boutonniere with Boutstix
How to make a succulent shoe boutonniere
Wedding, graduation, Mother's Day and the official season are just around the corner! Instead of spending too much money on expensive boutonniere, learn how to make them easier. These adorable boutonnieres are easy to make and the over the knee boots are perfect to wear with a floral magnetic closure without any clothes or flesh.
Boutstix sent me several packages of their flower magnets after I contacted them about their products! I attempted this while helping a friend make boutonniere for her daughter's gala ball. Its magical!

On New Year's Eve in high school, I was invited to my first official homecoming dance. At the last moment my friend asked me if I had already bought him a butler. I didn't even know it was a thing! I ran into the store the day before the ball and they only had 18 18. I was amazed! So expensive for something I knew I could make it myself.
Another chilling boutonniere story happened in my senior year at the official Yule Ball. I hired a butler for a meeting, wanted to nail her and BUCK! The entire head of the rose was broken in half and the buten was destroyed. Her mom used one hand to help me put it on so she could still wear it, but it was a waste of money.
This was the last Butina I bought. Learn from me and create your own.
This adorable botany tutorial will help you create one with silly, outlandish choices. It can be easily adapted to real flowers, silk flowers, real juices and more...

Succulent Boutonniere Accessories with Boutstix:
- Juicy choice
- Ribbon
- Boutstix flower magnet
- flower ribbon
Step 1: Group
Begin by adding any stems or tops of the succulent or flower, keeping all the stems together.
Step 2: Spin!
Then wrap the clustered edges of the flowers or picks with floral tape.
Floral tape is like paper, but there is an adhesive that activates it by stretching it slightly. Gently tug on the ribbon as you wrap the stems.
So it sticks when wrapped and adapts easily to all irregular shapes. It can be a little sticky, so work slowly and carefully.
Wrap until package is secure.
Step 3: Boutiques
Now place the long end of the sticks on the back of the wrapped pack.
Wrap the top around the band and move forward and also cover the magnets, they are strong enough to stick.
Then continue on Boutstix.
Step 4: Make it pretty
That's the fun part! Go ahead and decorate the buttons however you like. I know most guys wear them, they want them to be pretty simple... so I just went with a bow knot. The perfect way to pair a boutonniere with this dress!
You can add picks, knots and more with rhinestones. They can be wrapped in cream or then applied to/around/around with hot glue. I usually wear more bracelets than buttons.
