How to make quartz crystals from bitumen

Production of modules

Start by making crystal mold. Find a plastic container that fits your crystals. Crystals can also be made of baked clay or wood.


Gently spray the inside of the container with anti-mold. Then apply hot glue to one side of the glass.


Apply hot glue to the bottom of the plastic container, fixing the crystals in place.


Now is the time to mix EasyMold silicone rubber. Read and follow the instructions carefully.


Mix a portion of each pot and mix well. Spray the inside of the container with a mold conditioner and release it to help with mold removal.


After mixing according to the instructions, place the silicone rubber into a plastic container and completely cover the crystals. Leave the item on for 24-48 hours.


Once the silicone rubber has hardened, remove the mold from the plastic container. This can be a little difficult ... but keep working with your stick, freeing any edges.


Resin production

Cut the silicone rubber mold into small pieces. Then mix the EasyCast glue. The best way to determine how much to mix is ​​to fill the pot with water and then pour the water into a measuring cup ... then mix well.


Mix EasyCast Asphalt in 2 steps according to the instructions. Mix one part glue with one part hardener for 2 full minutes using a mixing rod. Then throw it in the second cup and mix it with the second stick for 1 minute.


Pour the glue into a glass mold. Allow the glue to dry for 24 hours. Then remove the rhubarb crystals from the silicone mold. They are very easy to remove because the shape is silicone and flexible. Repeat as many times as you want!


These glue crystals are so cute! No need to worry about bubbles, they add character and reality to each crystal. They reflect sunlight as a prism. Now that you know how resin crystals work, what are you going to do with them?
