We love to give gifts for Christmas with our own hands. Each child and parent makes a gift to everyone with their own hands. This is the highlight of the holiday! He immediately changed his attitude from "What will I buy for Christmas" to "I can't wait for them to open the gift I gave them." I like a thought that makes others think before me.
I kidnapped my 18 year old son to help me with this project. He is a seasoned whipper and a 2020 grand champion, cf. his instagram is here. He works a lot with paracord for eyelashes, so it's a very easy art for him.
I received this bribe from Strapworks in exchange for this article. Includes affiliate links.

It is sometimes difficult to get older boys interested in crafts or homemade gifts. It's fun for this age group. These keychains are cool and require skill to fix, but they feel very natural to them.
They also make a great gift for men - sometimes hard to find. It's perfect for seeing cool keychains or zippers in a backpack.

Required Accessories for Paracord Monkey Fist Key:
marble
scissors
Take it easy
Step 1: cut the paracord
Start by cutting the paracord 5.5 to 6 feet long. If you want to make a necklace, 6 feet is enough, 5.5 feet is enough for a key.
Step 2: Wrap
Now start 6 inches from one end of the paracord and wrap the cord around your fingers 3 times. Then tie the cable between two fingers as shown in the picture so that the cable runs behind your hand.
Then knit 3 loops with the remaining 3 loops.
Pull out the end of the paracord in the middle of the pleats with the last pleat.
Step 3: Marble
Now place the marble on the curves.
Step 4: Wrap Again
Now wrap the paracord around the marble three times.
Have you noticed my son's "special" fingers? He's left-handed, so I wondered if this lesson would confuse us, right. But since he has no fingers on his right hand, he's holding a cable, just like me... so join us!
Step 5: Click
Now he is ready to pull to tighten. Start at the end of the cord and follow it to the other end of the cord.
Step 6: Click again
After going through the cord and pressing as hard as you can, repeat the process, this will really press the paracord against the marble.
Repeat this process for each color of paracord and make DIY gifts for your friends and loved ones!
Complete the key with a metal hook.
Put the device on the two strings of the monkey's fist.
Then wrap the knot around the device in a knot and tighten tightly. Then cut the ends with scissors and light the nylon ends with a lighter. Cool down and you're done!
Turn one into an adjustable necklace! It can be a loose collar, or it can be tied like a choker.
