First, is it any wonder that I drew a brown-brown background? The most important question - what color will be your background.

  • Piece:
  • Envirotex Lite glossy resin:
  • handmade acrylic paint
  • cleans
  • golden leaf
  • gold sticker
  • Mixing cup, stirrer, gloves
  • Cardboard in tune with the canvas
  • Mini-chandelier, heat gun or straw

STEP 1. GIVE A LAYER

Start painting the whole canvas with a brush pattern. I photographed this canvas three years ago. Then let the background dry completely.

STEP 2. SECOND FLOWER LAYER

Then draw on the canvas a number of large thick flowers. These flowers are very colorful: random. Leave gaps in the background color between the bubble sheets. Add green wizards. Do not strive for perfection here, stay very abstract.

STEP 3. FIRST LAYER OF GRAPES

Now put the canvas in a cardboard box with a board inside to hold the egg. Then place in plastic cups so that the edges of the canvas stand up. And make sure the box lid is still closed.

Then mix Envirotex Lite High Gloss Resin in a blender. Read the instructions carefully and make sure you mix properly in the two-step process. Mixing 2 different mixers, pour the resin on the canvas in 2 separate cups and flatten with a mixer.

Carefully close the box and let it dry for at least 24-48 hours.

STEP 4. Next Flower Layer

Now add to the resin a layer of flowers, leaves, petals, spots, dots and lines.

The texture is slightly different from the picture on a glossy surface compared to the canvas, so in some places it should be thin, and in others - thick. If you are satisfied with small flowers and additional patterns, let the paint dry completely.

STEP 5. LAYER OF GOLD

Now put small dots of glue on a cloth for stamping of a gold foil. Allow the glue to dry completely, it will become transparent but still very sticky.

Then place the gold foil (in this case colored) directly on the sticky parts of the image.

Then pick up the gold leaf - it will stick to where it was not.

If the gold leaf is in the right places, use a stiff brush to remove excess dust. I always go out like that - end up with golden glitter on my sidewalk.

STEP 6. The final layer of grapes

Now return the color to the cardboard lifts, mix a portion of the glossy resin. Here, too, the resin can be mixed well, otherwise it will not harden properly.

Then pour the shiny resin on the board. It will magically add a soft, shiny sheen, but will also look like it has a lot more layers of color and gold.

Close the box. This is possible because it lengthens dirt, pet hair, flies and other items during processing.

Open again in 20 minutes. և Release any bubbles created by the heat gun, mini-torch or gentle blow through the straw. Then let the resin harden for at least 2 days.

Take off the tarp and enjoy. I like how watery it looks when small groups of fish swim around a coral reef. I like that this is my own work, no one will have this art in their home.

I hope this will give you the courage to create your own multi-layered canvas with Envirotex Lite High Gloss Resin .
