How to Make Hairpin Leg Wedding Cake Table
How to make a wedding cake table from recycled wood!
Create a wonderful table with recycled wood and handmade needle legs! This versatile table can be used for just about anything. Will there be a wedding in the future? This is the perfect wedding cake table. Ideal for cocktails on the patio or in the living room with a large plant. What will you use your desk for?
Hairpin legs are the perfect detail to make this table a quick and easy DIY project! I was happy to work with Semi Exact on this exciting project. Let's get started!
Semi Exact will help you create unique furniture for you. Choose your desired leg length and versatility, then add the top. It's pretty simple.
For this long wedding cake table I chose 4 black 40 "long hairpins . This is the longest and impressively long! I like the height and strength of the 3 pin legs. You can only use 3 legs for a round table, you decide!
Stiletto legs are heavy and durable. This cake table is large, uncomfortable, does not fall over from a real embarrassing collision.
I love the round, refined wooden top. We have just finished the construction work on the refined wooden fence (my beautiful background) and we have a lot of recycled wood left. During the month of May, it was nice to create a small round table in the same tree as the fence to remind us of our favorite tasks.
I will probably write more about my fence later and you will see that the foundation uses a lot of it now. 😉
where to get stiletto legs
Stiletto legs with your own hands are the choice for all my stiletto legs ... and you know? Almost the same! The best table, sofa, desk, cake stand, sofa, furniture, etc. anywhere. Place your order.
The legs were cleverly packed and carefully wrapped, and the box was in perfect condition. (Thanks, UPS!) Includes screws and rubber feet, plus guides ... and vinyl stickers! I made it in my water bottle.
If the finished table will not fit in the car, the legs can be easily removed and reassembled on site. Perfect for a garden or outdoor wedding, it gives a beautiful rustic touch.
Materials needed for a stiletto wedding cake table:
restored wood
saw table
Saw Gonye (optional)
glue for wood
exercises
Screws (with lower legs)
hand planner (optional)
sanding disc grinder (optional)
sandpaper (optional)
Step 1 - Create a refined wood sheet
Start by collecting the returned firewood. I used 2x4s, 4x4s and some fence boards. Then cut each piece of wood about 1 inch longer than the desired length.
My desk is 15 "wide, so each plate is 16" cut.
We used our mushroom saw, but the table saw will work too.
Step 2: Cut the height of the panels
Now you need to cut all the planks at the same height. Adjust the table saw fence to make them even less than 4 inches. Then cut each plank in the same way.
Step 3: Align the panels
Now adjust the panels in the desired order. Change the width of the tables next to each other, as well as the color of the tree.
Prepare your wood clamps and glue for work. Also work on a surface that will not stick to the project. We use marble tiles.
Step 4 - Glue the panels together
Apply a large amount of glue to each edge of the board and then press it together. The glue will seep into all the small cracks in the board, so it is important to apply glue to both sides of the boards before joining them.
After placing the last board in the stack, clamp it in place with c-clamps. Then let the glue dry overnight and let it dry.
Step 5 - Sanding and molding
Once the glue dries and hardens, it's time to sand and shape it. We use a hand glider to go over the top surface, which makes it smooth and even.
A grinder or even an emerald board will work.
Then use sandpaper with a sanding wheel to smooth out the coarse glue that has come loose from the cracks.
Then draw a circle at the top of the board. We were looking for a garden because it was the perfect size. Can be used as a rope compass and a pencil.
The square board looks amazing, but we take it to the next level by rounding it up. If you do not have the technical skills to do this, protect your skills and you will still be fantastic!
After gluing the recycled wooden planks together, it's time to cut a circle out of it. Start by hitting the corners with a table saw. Then cut small pieces and move along the board until you get a circle.
When you are done, use sandpaper to sand off the edges. Watch a short video of the process, which took about 5 minutes:
Step 6: Stiletto legs
Now turn the wooden table over and place the poles on it. Click the bar legs in place.
It's so easy!
Stand at your table now and enjoy!
Step 7: Resin counters
Spray Enfirotex Clear High Gloss resin to round off the tabletop. It will really reveal the variety of colors in the wood and make it shine! The project goes from awesome to awesome!
Simply follow the instructions and spray the product lightly on the surface. I did two coats of resin spray.
See what the vibrant colors of recycled wood look like! I like bugs, knots and unique pieces of wood.
Now everything is ready for the perfect filling for the wedding and the cake! Perfect for birthday cakes.
I love how elegant the table looks and the impressive height! Perfect for a standing drink or a fruit plate. Ideal for a summer patio.
I have a 6 inch cake stand and it is quite small. I know it will look amazing with a 12 "cake on the table! Who wants to use it at a wedding?
A large plant is in the living room. I love the restored tree! You can say
This cake farmer is also easy to use with a cricket maker! Just draw a 1/4 "circle and put the word shape in the middle, then solder the shapes and parts to the sticky board. Then stick it warm to the toothpick! Easy and beautiful!
Here it is!
I hope you enjoy it just as much as I do!
