Giant Hand Dyed Coffee Filter Rose DIY
Huge DIY Rose Hand Painted Coffee Filter
The colorful giant flowers are my favorite! I'm very allergic to real flowers so I can't have them at home. Instead I make paper roses. This is my newest and favorite! Conjure up a giant hand-painted coffee filter flower with just a few utensils. This giant paper flower measures 16 inches square. Perfect for a unique floral display...or make a bouquet for a perfect floral wall decoration for a banquet, wedding, giant bouquet or other big event!
This stunning flower has 115 light and soft hand-painted coffee filters.
I show you how to make an awesome coffee filter flower. If you do, please post and tag @doodlecraft. I would like to make you happy!

Step 1: Remove the coffee filters
First, pour about 1/8 cup of water into a shallow bowl. Add half a tablespoon of food coloring. The more dyes you use, the more intense the color will be. Mix water and paint.
Take 4-5 coffee strainers and fold them in quarters and hold them in the middle.
Then immerse the coffee filters in colored water. The coffee filters absorb the food coloring.
Then place the coffee strainer on a paper towel or plastic towel to dry. Repeat multicolored. Let the coffee filters dry completely...for about 8 hours or overnight.
Now the coffee filters are ready to turn into a bright smile.
Step 2: Install the coffee filter flower
Start building the flower in the center.Create hub:
Start folding the yolks and oranges into a 5-strainer coffee strainer, then cut them in half.
Tuck it in the corner and pour the center stack into a cone, making sure the rim encloses the curved part of the coffee infuser.
Arrange petals:
Now place 5 coffee strainers on top of each other and fold the rose petals in half. Then place the center of the flower on the petal.
Twist the petals in half and glue.
Repeat the process with the other 5 coffee filters folded in half.
Then glue them together.
Repeat the process for the petals. The center will grow and the petals will adjust differently. Just stick them to the sides, wrap and staple to the other side.
Seeing the flowers bloom is very useful! When preparing a background for a photo, make roses of different sizes.
Fold in different colors to add size and variety. Continue wrapping the petals around the flower.
I start with pink, red and orange and then finish with tea and green. Decide what your flower will look like and voila!
I love the smooth coffee filters on this flower.
Place the petals on top of the previous petals until you are happy with the size. My flower is 16 inches wide and about 6 inches tall. I love it! 115 coffee filters are used.
Here is the back of the flower, you can see how the petals are stacked on top of the previous ones.
The petals make it easy to hang the flower on the control hook.
I love the watercolor look of the petals.
You do not like!? This is a 3D work of art!
