Downton Abbey Inspired 1920's Garden Party!
Downton Abbey inspired a 1920s garden party!
Plan the perfect launch party or celebrate your 20th birthday at the Roaring Twenties Party!
Let's start from the beginning.
I love to dress up. It's like my favorite hobby. I usually wear black yoga pants and a black T-shirt...but I like to dress up. So of course I really enjoy organizing parties with fun outfits...and prizes for the best costumes!
The perfect table for a 1920s party:
This table is very simple but elegant.
- Plastic tablecloth covered with lace
- Yo-yo lovers hanging out in rose gold
- level trays
- Polished silver tea set.
- art deco
- fairy light curtain
For a more profitable farewell party, ask guests to bring snacks. I'm always amazed at the number of sweets at a girls' party!
I set up another table for the food the guests brought. I had a slow cooker full of meatballs and a box of 30 creamy puffs.
I bought this amazing red dress from Goodwill when I was living in Alabama about 5 years ago. I have never worn it. Last year I thought about getting dressed up for Halloween...but it was too tight.
Luckily I was in better shape this year and the dress fits me like a dream. The three layers make this dress so much fun!
This fringed dress was shown for the first time
Or those gorgeous gold and black edges
A guest also wore a wig...Can you find it???
I had a separate table for parties and crafts. Guests collected tassels with clips and had to pick hair to take home.
Here are the consumables I used: aff . links

pearl hair clips
The benefit of arranging goodbyes is that you don't have to have much fun. They are happy to talk to each other and enjoy the party. If you are going to take it to families, creating games for kids is a fun option.
Smooth the silver to make Mr. Carson proud! Have Mrs. Patmore burn the cake! Find everything from Art Deco to geometric shapes, gold, lace, swags, tiered trays, silver, china, and just about anything exotic!
Well, let's talk about the hairstyles of the 1920s. Communication: I am not a beauty blogger. Crowley girls have long hair, but they still wear it. I decided to try. I have very long hair, but I have curly little hair.
They were finally a foot shorter than my straight hair! Gather everything and slowly smooth the waves. I used bobby pins to push the braids back and forth to define the face and tossed them in with hairspray. Then I put a bandage on it with rhinestones and took off my arm.
Then I split my hair into two parts and flipped it back so it could be seen a bit from the front and clipped it in place. Then add some stealth.
This fo-bob is always a fun look for people with long hair like me. To complete the look, I glued some feathers to the headband. Then add a frank and long necklace and it will be golden.
Fashion competition:
This is how I organize my fashion contests without a special jury:
I handed out 3 carnival tickets to each guest. They mingle, roam, and give tickets to three people who love their costumes. Then the guests calculate their tickets and see who has more, who is second and so on. I reward the 3 best outfits.
So everyone has a chance to vote... If they like someone's outfit very much, they can give away 3 tickets. I will not allow myself to win the contest, so I ask them not to ... or give it to others.
A crown of gold and pearls won first prize.
Second place went to an embroidered bag.
A necklace made of pearls and rhinestones took third place.
Who do you think won the fashion contest?
That's it! Hope this gives you some confidence and some fun ideas for planning your twenties party!
