I chose paintings that remind us of the beach and the sea. I would never go away from tea and blues - never. Paint colors you want to choose - what color would you choose?

Paint Mess:

Start by pouring the paint into paper cups. The wood kitchen cabinet surface is small, so you don't need a lot of paint for this project. I mixed green with blue to create a strong tea color. I used more shades of blue than green or peach.

Add a little water to the paper cups with paint. This is not an exact science. Mix the paint with water until it comes out of a stick with a consistency similar to "hot honey". If it is too liquid, it will not stick to the wood. If it's too thick, it won't move after spilling.

Let the stick flow into the glass to see how thick the paint is. It would be better to be liquid than thick. I think I just added as much water to the paint as I poured it into the cups.

When all the colors are blended into the right consistency, it's shower time! Casting acrylic is liquid and random. Don't cling to perfection...it's a wild, easy, and sweet way to express yourself. If you don't like the way you leave it, you can remove it and do it again!

acrylic go:

Start with an empty paper cup. Then pour acrylic paint into the glass according to the "bull's eye" scheme. It doesn't have to be accurate. Just add it a little and it's a little!

Once you've poured all the paint into a glass, pour it into a wooden bowl. Make sure there is a sheet of paper underneath as it spills out from the edges.

Then take the container and tilt it from side to side so that it flows in the paint and sticks out from the edges.

Use the sticks to mix the extra paint in the bowl as you like. I went in and added more peaches and light greens. Repeat the process with the edges so that they are also intentionally drawn.

Securing all gaps with a stick. Then place the cans in a few empty cups while they dry.

Allow the cans to dry overnight or dry for a few days. Thicker layers of paint should dry slowly or they will crack, so don't overheat or try to dry faster.

Once it dries, you can finish it off with a light acrylic sealant then fill it with cutlery, rags, and straws and arrange a party! Or load it up with pens, pencils, markers and a calculator and use school supplies on your desk to keep in order.

Acrylic Paint on Flow Tray - With trial use, there is no edge for excess paint to fall off...so keep a piece of plastic on standby and wipe off the residue from the glass after throwing it in the tray.
