Acrylic Paint Pour Skin Pendant Necklace with Resin
Mold the resin leather necklace with acrylic paint.
Mixing and pouring acrylic paint on canvas to create stunning works of art is so much fun. Pouring paint is a great way to create stunning works of art for home decor. Lay a plastic tablecloth or garbage bag on your work surface, remove the canvas from the table with a glass or bowl... then pour the paint all over the canvas and run down the sides.
Once the paint dries, the canvas becomes beautiful…and the paint drippings are just as impressive! Instead of throwing them away, turn them into cool jewelry!
Here are some articles on acrylic paint casting, great craft for kids too, no age difference! Paint casting is very popular and easy to do. Simply mix the paint with a pouring medium like floatrol, then pour all of the paint into a container.
Pour over the entire canvas or plate and allow the paint to dry as slowly as possible for best results. The paint will lose its shiny appearance after drying, but it will be easily restored with a bit of resin or varnish. For more information, check out these painting posts:

Flowing acrylic paint on the board: there is no point in trying to spill the paint... so hold a piece of plastic on standby and pour the rest of the glass over it after pouring it into the container.
Dirty eyebrows with checkered paint (I'm actually molded with this pendant)
Pour rainbow paint (this canvas is slightly folded...so use MDF pieces or stretch canvas)
Just take an incredible amount of spray paint and turn it into a one-of-a-kind portable piece of art. Perfect for a gift!
Accessories:
Pour the paint on the skin.
Pair of scissors
E6000 sticker
Mixing glasses / stir sticks
Step 1: Dry Paint
Start by examining the remnants of the stained skin. Find the points that speak to you the most. When colors are mixed, it sometimes looks cloudy. Find pieces with interesting patterns and details. Can I see the piece that I have chosen for my pendant? Different necklaces or magnets can be made on this pigmented skin!
Step 2: Framed Model
Cut a small piece of paper to insert inside the frame to create a simple pattern.
Step 3: Cut out the paint
Then, using the paper as a template, cut the shell out of the painting with scissors so that it fits perfectly in the frame.
Step 4: Paste
Then draw some E6000 inside the frame and press hard on the paint layer.
Let the E6000 dry for a few hours. This makes a very strong necklace and can be worn as is...but still not quite shiny and smooth enough.
Step 5: Resin
Then mix some jewelry into the resin. Mix about 1/4 ounce from each bottle and mix according to package directions.
Even with a small amount of resin, it is very important to mix the resin in 2 steps.
After mixing, pour the resin over the frame paint.
Use a dowel, toothpick, or old brush (ready to throw away) to push the resin to the edge of the frame.
Use a straw and gently blow on the resin to create bubbles.
Step 6: Processing
Place the frame on several mixing sticks to keep it upright on the table. Then, let the resin sit overnight to fully harden.
Finally, use some amazing artistry by attaching a chain to the pendant bezel! Ready to use or to give as a beautiful craft.
It is not beautiful!? The resin makes it look so rich and luminous!
That is!
