Watercolor Galaxy Profile Pocket Notebook DIY

DIY Watercolor Galaxy Profile Pocket Notebook

Create the perfect personal wallet for its owner with a watercolor galaxy outline. This slim notebook is perfect for working on the go. Fill it with drawing paper, watercolor paper or mixed paper for the environment of your choice. I share notebooks and magazines throughout the week - you can never have enough notebooks!

I learned this fun galaxy technique from Katie, a member of the Tombow design team. She is the queen of the galaxy! At the Tombow Design Summit I attended in January, he gave me a little notebook like this one. I knew I had to create myself.

If you made your own, feel free to post it on social media with #doodlecraft to see and share!

Necessary accessories for Galaxy Profile Watercolor Pocket Notebook:

profile sketch
80 lb . color half sheet card stock
12 half sheets (folded in half)
Sewing machine

Or get this Tombow creative set for almost anything you need!

Start drawing your profile. I took a selfie... and I was amazed at how much my lips popped out. ha ha. In any case, draw the contours. I use an iPad, but you can simply stick a piece of paper on your laptop screen and watch it.

Ready to add all the fun after watching with a pen.

Galaxy Watercolor Step 1:

Stars, dots, etc. Use the Tombow blade all around. across profiles.

Galaxy Watercolor Step 2:

Now add color to the image. Start drawing the lightest color from the Dual Brush Pen.

Then add another color and a small black dot around the edges.

Step 3 of the watercolor galaxy:

Now use the water brush to mix the colors, starting with the lightest colors and working your way up to the darker colors.

Then let the beautiful watercolor star system dry completely.

Watercolor Galaxy Profile Step 4:

Now use the MONO Twin permanent marker to track your profile.

Step 5 Change the watercolor galaxy profile in your notebook:

Fold the cardboard in half and the paper in half. Cut the profile with scissors and leave a small white border.

Stack the cardboard and paper together and use a sewing machine to sew the center together.

Fold the notebook in half from the stitched edge and mark firmly on the back.

Now use Tombow tape to attach the profile to the notebook.

Closed! I thought it was a lot of fun! This is a great way to take selfies without requiring a lot of drawing skills. This would be a fun summer camp craft (books can be made in advance) or an evening craft for pretty girls!

This is my favorite color! Blue, pink and purple. What color would you give your galaxy?

There she is!
