It is a nice surface to work on stretched canvas, but the canvas can bend under the weight of the resin. Find a board or box that fits the canvas and supports your egg when working with resin.
Step 1. Mix the resin
Start by reading the instructions for mixing the resin. No matter how much I have used it before, I have read the instructions over and over again. Mix part of the resin and part of the hardener in a bowl.
Set the timer for 2 minutes and mix gently, periodically removing the edges and sticks. Then pass the resin into the bowl of the second mixer, mix it with a new rod for 1 minute.
Step 2. Add the color
Then pour some resin into cups. Add a few drops of clear varnish and dark white pigment.
Leave some clean resin in the mixer bowl.
Step 3. Pour
Start by pouring a small circle of clean resin. This is the center of geodesy, it's very simple.
Then pour colored resin rings around the clean center ring.
Keep adding resin rings, don't worry about covering any section of the canvas at this point.
Then add some glitter to the cups of clean resin. Add shine to several rings.
Lift the canvas with your hands, fold the canvas so that the resin spreads more, cover the canvas.
It does not bend too much, so it does not deform the geodesy.
Now, when the bright and transparent colors fill the canvas, it looks really cool.
But that's not all! In a 2 step process, mix a cup of resin as before. Pour the clean resin into a small bowl and add the dark pigments instead of the clean paint.
Then pour the colored resin over the cleaned resin in the rings. It adds great depth and a natural geodesic view. Sprinkle the glitter on the individual rings around the canvas, leaving some shine and some white.
Finish all the resin and then use a white mixer to drip the white resin around the rings. I like the way it looks. Maybe put it aside and stop here.
Or take a step forward and finish more naturally. Use a blower to remove any bubbles and remove the edges of the white resin.
Then let it dry overnight. Make sure it stays on a flat surface as the resin will stand up on its own after drying.
Once the cork dries, sand every spot that forms on the fabric floor and hang it up to enjoy the world. It shines like crystals that shine in the light.
