National Video Game Day: 40 Crafts Parties and Gift Ideas!
National video game day. craft parties and gift ideas.
July 8 is National Video Game Day. I have spread all the crafts, jobs, parties and gift ideas inspired by my favorite video games so that I can celebrate National Video Game Day not only with video games. In fact, I'm sharing 40 different video game inspired creations.
Did I miss your favorite video game?
How to celebrate National Video Game Day. ? Will you take an epic Smash Brother tour or start a new character in your favorite RPG? Are you planning a WoW campaign with friends? Maybe you have a nice farm to build in Minecraft.
Have you ever played old school Tetris? My dad was a champion in that game ... but guess what? Keeps the commander face down. I think he likes to be weird, different, but he did it.
What's your favorite video game?
Someone you love is playing video games.
What's your favorite gaming keyboard?
I love Nintendo. Now we play most computer games, but we still have a huge Nintendo collection, we are looking forward to The Legend of Zelda. Skyward Sword is coming to Switch this month.
Crazy video games have come together.
Sure, I'm a video game idiot. I don't like all games - I read ESRB reviews / ratings carefully, but I spend most of my days playing ... many hours. I like / hate that games go back to the current times you "play". But it is a pleasure.
We don't go to the cinema, we rarely eat out, we play video games on our nights out. They are a great way to unwind at the end of a long day. Who doesn't like the whole game 3, watching you Candy Crush.
Why do people avoid video games? If my brothers wanted to play Monopoly or any other board game, that's fine, even if it ends in a catastrophic war ... but if you play video games, is that bad? No. Wonderful!
I grew up with video games.
We love video games at home. I grew up with good old school games. In Atari I played for hours at my grandfather's house. I liked Jungle Hunt, Mr. Robot, Dig Dug and Frogger:
My family got the original Nintendo for Christmas when I was 8, which was the perfect age for Mario Brothers and Duck Hunt. I was sitting in front of the TV and shooting those ducks.
I fell in love with The Legend of Zelda, with all subsequent games related to Zelda and Link. Plus my kids love them too. I hardly ever played Legend of Zelda because it was so hard, but I just sat and watched my older brother play.
I still remember where all the secrets, prices and secret doors are. A few years ago I played my eldest son on the Wii and told him where to go.
I enjoyed playing Contra with my friends, creating the Konami code to get 30 lives instead of just 3. Remember the old school Nintendo bullets? I like this trick.
PS This old school Nintendo listed below still works. Yup!
My youngest son had a hard time reading. He didn't want to read a book ... until the age of 8, he started playing a video game, Oblivion. Next, I wanted to be able to read NPC conversations.
It didn't take long to reach a level of reading comprehension to master the game, which could be an adult game ... don't judge him, he's my youngest.
Connect through video games.
When my husband and I got married 21 years ago, our brothers gave us Diablo 2 for Christmas. This is a phenomenal game that needs to be redirected and brought back this year. If you haven't played it, it's a good game, probably the best game ever.
In January of this year, I started playing Fallout 4, which inspired me to celebrate an epic party for my family when I finished the game.
I now play Fallout 76 with my husband and 2 children. It was a fun way to get together and play a game.
