Joyful Anthropologie Inspired Pom-Pom Pillow!
Pompom pillow Happy Anthropology!
This bubble pillow gives me so much joy! I just love non-traditional holiday colors. I love textures and layers. it shines too!
Create a fun anthropology-inspired pom pom pillow with this fun and easy tutorial. Use shiny vinyl, colorful embellishments and pumps to claim victory!
Almost nothing gives me as much pleasure as pom pom jewelry.
Brief History: When I was about 16, I attended a youth conference at Camp Williams (a nearby military base). My best friend Kirsten and I loved being in a military environment, so we went to Severs and bought some army camo pants.
The pants had a very masculine shape and we decided to correct it. We took them to my house and started decorating. We've added fluorescent yellow triangle panels from the knee to the bottom hem to make it look like a push up.
To complete this we have added a green pom pom edge to the bottom hem. Let's say that we distinguished ourselves the most in our group and that the soldiers liked it!
It's beautiful, isn't it!? Now you see where I got this pillow idea! I was thrilled to be invited to the 2019 Pillow Party with a large group of bloggers. (Don't worry, Pillow Party 2021 is coming soon!)

I designed this layout in Photoshop and brought it into the cricket design space. I added the image three times, then removed the outline so each character could have a different color. Please right click to save for personal use only.
Align the characters then print with EasyPress 2 .
Allow the vinyl to cool then remove the protective skin.
Then I collected all the pom poms and other things I could get. I also have these shiny gold sequins.
I used fabric glue to glue the edges of the pom pom to the pillow. It's awesome!
Simply add a line of glue, then press the trim into place. It sticks really fast and takes all the pressure off to finish the project! Hooray!
I just kept adding bits and finally tried to emulate the twinkling, ethnographic window of Jayflower to the strategic placement of the characters. If I had more energy, I would use a needle and thread to add more. But I am very satisfied with the results and the little effort!
I held the glue for a few hours to make sure it worked, then put the pillow back in place. I really like how it turned out! Isn't it funny that wanderlust inspires Manhattan?
In October 2019, I was on an outdoor vacation in the Turks and Caicos Islands with two of my friends for Social Media on the Sand ( read more here ).
On the way back, we took a long trip to New York. It was my first visit to the city, so we left our luggage at the airport and took a taxi to Manhattan. It was great fun and gave us a break, combined with our vacation in the tropics.
It was raining and cold, but that didn't stop us from seeing everything we could in such a short time. My favorite বা or the most inspiring ছিল was the Anthropology Showcase. Look at this:

I cut the vinyl in red, yellow and pink. The best thing about this project is that I used everything I had and didn't buy anything but a pillow.

They had a second window with the word "hi"...that was good too, but the victory melted my heart.
