Birthday history time:
When I turned 34, I threw a big birthday party with all my friends. I planned everything for my husband to go to work and celebrate and clean up and destroy all the evidence before I get home. I was expecting sweet pork at Rio's cafe and it was food that my husband didn't like.
Well, at the last moment, my husband had a day off from work! What never happened. How did it happen? I had to tell him I was throwing a big birthday party with a menu that included food he didn't like.
It was a wonderful sport and I spent the day with a large group of women at lunch on my birthday. He was sweet and romantic and played several guitar songs for the band, including The Wedding Singer's "I Want to Grow Old With You".
All my friends liked it.
