How to make quartz crystals from resin

REQUIRED ORDERS:

A small plastic container placed in glass
1 or more real crystals (can be molded from clay or wood)
hot glue gun
beaters
mixing cup

FORM:

Start forming crystals. A plastic container containing the crystals you found. Crystals can also be made from fired clay or wood carvings.


Gently spray the inside of the container with anti-mold spray. Then apply hot glue to one side of the glass.


Press the hot glue to the bottom of the plastic container and hold the crystals.


Now it's time to mix EasyMold silicone rubber. Read and follow the instructions carefully.


Mix one part of each bath and mix well. Spray the inside of the mold adapter container and spray to release to help remove mold.


After mixing according to the instructions, pour the silicone rubber into a plastic container that completely covers the crystals. Leave the bowl for about 24-48 hours.


After applying the silicone rubber, remove the mold from the plastic container. It can be a little tricky ... but work with a blender and release each edge.


MAKE RESIN:

Cut the top of the silicone mold with small scissors. Then mix the EasyCast resin. A good way to find out how much to mix is ​​to fill a mold with water and then pour water into a measuring cup ... then mix that amount.


Mix EasyCast resin in the Phase 2 process according to the instructions. Mix 1 part resin with 1 part hardener for 2 minutes using a blender. Then pour into a second glass and beat with a second blender for a full minute.


Pour the resin into a glass mold. Allow the resin to set for 24 hours. Then remove the resin crystals from the silicone mold. They come out very easily because the shape is silicone and flexible. Repeat as many times as you want!
