DIY Halloween Tree Ornaments with Crow Topper on Blue Tree
DIY Christmas tree decorations for Halloween with a crow statuette on a bright blue tree
I love Halloween, but I've never decorated a Christmas tree for Halloween. It was a fun experiment and added a fun and scary holiday mood to our home.I made this tree for Treetopia 's DIY Queen's and Kings Halloween Tree series in 2018, and I think it should be shared again this year. Have you picked a Christmas tree for anything other than Christmas? It's a lot of fun ... and a strange addiction!
I share this as part of my creative Halloween crafts!
Let me show you what I did with this bright blue Christmas tree!

Initially, there was a short list of trees for this campaign. The white tree I wanted so much had already been selected. I chose this blue tree because it was in a "smart" style and fit my house better ... and actually came out better than white wood.
Also, blue and orange are complementary colors, so it makes sense ... and in a few months I will have a giant Christmas tree.
The tree consists of 3 segments and is easy to connect. The plug has this great button, so you can easily turn the light on and off when needed ... it's great.
This blue tree required a bit of subtlety, so I put a piece of black mesh on it several times.
The decorations I bought were red, gold and green. I used gold and copper spray paint and painted according to the theme.
I also bought some foam pumpkins from a dollar store and painted them with copper.
Let me show you the process of decorating these little skulls. You will need a small tool such as wire, scissors, an ax and a plastic skull.
Start by inserting a hole in the bottom of the skull.
Then push the tool towards the top of the head.
6 "Cut the ropes with scissors. Use pliers to make a small twist at the end of the rope.
Then run the rope from the top of the base to the top of the skull. Then fold the other side of the rope as before.
Leave it 1.5 inches at the base of the skull and fold the rope horizontally over the head of the skull.
Then fold the top of the rope into a "C" shape.
Finally, push the rope up until the curl is at the bottom of the skull.
Now these little decorations are ready to hang on the Christmas tree!
Fill the tree with large ornaments and then add the smaller ones. Remove the mirror frame from the plastic mattress and paint it golden. Then cut a sheet of black paper of the same size.
Write "Trick or Treat" on a piece of paper with a white marker and paste it on the frame. Add other decorations to the tree and complete the tree with a spider.
Cover the tree with a feathered crow and a few golden grass twigs. This is the perfect tree for a scary tree. I love bluebells, there are hundreds around my house at this time of year, and I love the cold call of their "cawing".
Fill your home with other beautiful things! Postcards, vintage frames, pumpkins and a scary cat!
The web skirt is perfect for rounding the tree. Cups and mistletoe are perfect instead of gifts. Dry ice is a fun fantasy element ... after hours!
