DIY Halloween Tree Ornaments with Crow Topper on Blue Tree
DIY Halloween tree decoration with glittering blue crow ornament
I love Halloween, but I've never decorated a Christmas tree for Halloween. It was a fun challenge and brought a lot of whimsical Christmas joy and merriment to our home.I made this tree for the DIY Queen and King Halloween Tree series from Treetopia in 2018 and I felt the tree should be shared again this year. Have you ever planted a Christmas tree for anything other than Christmas? It's so much fun ... and so addictive!
I share it as part of Creative Halloween Crafts!

First, there is a short list of trees available for this campaign. The white tree I really wanted was chosen. I chose this blue tree because it had a "lean" style and would fit better in my house ... and it came out much better than the white tree.
On top of that, blue and orange are complementary colors, so it makes sense ... plus, I'm going to have a fantastic Christmas tree in a few months.
The tree consists of 3 segments and is simply glued together. The socket has this amazing footswitch so you can easily turn the light on and off when needed ... amazing.
This blue tree needed a bit of color, so I just covered it with black a few times.
The decorations I received were red, gold and green. I used gold and copper spray paint and painted it to match the theme.
I bought a foam pumpkin at the dollar store and also painted it copper.
Let me guide you through the process of making decorations for this little skull. You will need wire, scissors, a small tool such as an ax and a plastic skull.
Start by making a hole at the base of the skull.
Then place the tool on top of the head.
Cut 6 inches of yarn with scissors. Use pliers to make small creases at the ends of the wire.
Then pull the wire through the head of the base to the top of the skull. Then wrap the other end of the cable in the same way as before.
Leave 1.5 inches at the bottom of the skull and bend the wire horizontally over the top of the skull head.
Then twist the top of the wire into a "C" shape.
Finally, slide the wire up until the loop is at the base of the skull.
This little decoration is now ready to hang on the tree!
First fill the tree with large ornaments, then add small ones. Remove the window mirror from the plastic frame and paint it gold. Then cut a sheet of black paper of the same size.
Write "Trick or Treat" on blackboard marker paper and place it on the frame. Add to the tree with other decorations and complete the tree with spiders.
Cover the tree with hairy crows and some golden grass. The perfect tree decoration for that haunting tree. I love crows, there are hundreds of them in my house this time of year and I love their scary "crow" song.
Fill your home with other fun items! Posters, vintage frames, pumpkins and ghostly cats!
The spider web tree skirt is perfect to complement the tree. Instead of gifts, kettles and fog glasses are better. Dry ice is a very fun ghost object ... for a few hours!
Skulls, jugs and pumpkins - it's Halloween!
