Craft Foam Bookmarks made with Cricut Maker Knife Blade

Copper metallic vinyl on black craft foam bookmarks made with the Cricut Maker and knife blade.

Make foam markers from a Cricut Maker knife blade

Cricut Maker is very versatile and comes with a variety of customizable tools that make any project a breeze! Cricut's customizable tool system and 10x performance are the secret behind Maker's amazing features with knife blade, rotating blade and sprockets.

I am in love with the knife blade and its multiple uses. The knife blade can cut leather, bark wood, balsa wood, chipboard, matte cardboard, synthetic leather and craft foam. This handmade foam bookmark is lightning fast to make and perfect for a first try with a knife blade .

If you've never used a razor blade, start by inserting the razor blade into the Maker and connecting the blade into Cricut Design Space.

Accessories required for foam markers:

  • Cricut Maker is unlike any other cutting machine. It is powerful, has maximum cutting capacity and incredible versatility!
  • Knife blade (compatible for cutting materials up to 2.4mm thick)
  • craft foam
  • metallic vinyl
  • cable
  • group of painters
  • Cricut Design Space (simply draw a 1.5 x 5 inch rectangle with a small circle at the top center and scroll down to vinyl cutouts for the design)

Step 1: Glue the foam

Glue the craft foam to the mat. Move the white star guides to the right side of the machine bar.

Step 2: Install Cricut Maker

Configure the manufacturer to cut Craft Foam and click the start button. Once the knife blade has cut them, make sure they are completely cut. Mine was. If they need to cut more, click the Go button again.

Then remove the mat from the car and the mat foam. Trim the excess foam for these cute bookmarks.

Step 3: Find the stitch sheet

Insert the thin blade into the machine and cut out the vinyl metal molds.

Make sure it's set to metallic vinyl and "more" depth.

Remove the mat from the car and the vinyl from the mat. Remove excess vinyl from images.

Step 4: vinyl transfer

Then use the transfer paper to place the stickers on the foam bookmarks. Trim the edges of the vinyl to fit the foam bookmark snugly.

I love the contrast between copper and black ... but use any colors you want!

They are shiny and perfect.

Step 5: tassels

Add snare wire, pom pom, or ribbon to your bookmark for finishing.
