This toolbox is perfect for parties or for organizing; This is great for storing essentials at school, even to keep your desk tidy! Pouring paint is a simple technique, and does not require much material to begin with. You just have to try it, you will like it.
This post is sponsored by Plaid . Supplies for this project from Target! Ceramcote Delta has craft acrylic paint and a modern handmade wood finish.
I took this toolkit and knew that 3D paint casting would be a great way to finish it. Travel to your next destination and discover a fun set of colorful wooden boards and surfaces!
Here is a brief overview of the process so you can see the technique! Try it, it's easier than you think!
Required materials:
Modern drawing tool (goal)Delta Ceramcoat Acrylic Craft (depending on destination)
5 oz paper cups for sketch sticks for mixing water
I chose colors reminiscent of the beach and the sea. Stay out of nowhere and blue ... never. Choose your favorite paint colors, what color would you choose?
painting shop:
First, pour the paint into paper cups. The surface of the wooden tool box is small, so this project will require some paint. I mixed green with blue to create a darker color. I used more shades of blue than green or peach.Pour a little water into paper cups with paint. This is not an exact science. Mix the paint with water until it comes out of the mixer with the consistency of "hot honey". If the wood is too large, it will not stick to the project. If it is too thick, it will not move after spilling.
Dip the wand into the jar to check the thickness of the paint. Better a poor horse than no horse at all. I think I added as much water to the paint as I poured into the cups.
When all the colors are mixed to the right texture, it’s time to throw them away! Acrylic casting is liquid and random. Don’t shy away from perfection ... it’s a casual, casual and great way to express yourself. If you don't like how it stays, you can delete it and create it again!
acrylic molding:
Start with an empty paper cup. Then pour acrylic paint on the image of "pain". That doesn’t have to be accurate. Just add this and more!Once you have poured the paint into one jar, pour it into a wooden container. Make sure there is a stain of paper under it as it will run under the edges.
Then take the caddy and bend it back and forth so that it sticks out along with the paint and sticks out from the edges.
Use the mixing sticks as you like to pour the extra color onto the box. I went in and added more peaches and bright greens. Repeat the process with the sides until they are intentionally drawn.
Touch the empty area with a blender. Then place the cat in an empty jar until it dries.
Allow the pods to dry overnight or for a few days. Thicker layers of paint should dry or crack slowly, so don’t overheat or try to dry faster.
When it dries, you can finish it off with a light acrylic primer, then fill it with tools, towels and straws and throw a party! Or load it with pens, pencils, markers and calculators and use them at school to organize these materials.

Now you want to get rid of everything!
Use an acrylic float on a tray - try not to drip too much paint on the edge ... so take a piece of plastic while it’s empty and pour the leftovers into the pan.
Dirty marble molding with embossed paint (this is the place I made with this pendant)
Pour rainbow-colored paint (this canvas is slightly curved ... so use a piece of MDF or a rectangular canvas)
